Redesign of Rabbit King mini game

Recommended Posts

Rabbit King doesn't die. Instead, he becomes injured like Nightmare Werepig. Then 2 things can happen:

1. he will dig a hole soon after and escape. The hole will become a new rabbit burrow that spawns new rabbits.

2. he can be picked up and taken as a pet, similar to pet fish, requires feeding to be alive. He then becomes a long term burrow horn. Right-click to stick his upper body to the ground and he will start digging the burrow chest. He has hunger meter, so don't starve him. (Hunger meter is his repairable durability)

Rabbit King Afterlife

After Rabbit King is defeated, it will lose its title and have a new Regnal name instead. The title Rabbit King is given to the next Rabbit King. Regnal name is also useful to distinguish different burrow chests. You are allowed to have multiple deceased Kings as pets, but work has to be put in to keep them alive.

Pet King's Nursing Home

After feeding Pet King 10 carrots, he finds his afterlife satisfactory, and will drop you new blueprint for Rabbit Hammer. The hammer can be used on Giant Carrots, and hammer the crop into a Carrot Palace (King's nursing home). Pet King can live inside Carrot Palace without being fed as long as they are not in your inventory.

One Palace can accomodate one King at a time.

After having lived in a dedicated nursing home, the Pet King will have a new dignified tag before their Regnal name, can create an upgraded version of Burrow Chest that can keep carrots (or perhaps all crops) fresh forever. But the downside is that if you carry Dignified Pet King in your inventory, he consumes one carrot from the burrow chest a day as snack. (In other words, instead of losing carrots freshness, you'll lose carrots quantity when travel as maintenance cost. But the snacks also provide hunger to keep him alive.)

Pet King's Release

And it will create a new regular rabbit burrow (can also happen in cave, but cave is never daytime, so...)

Stuff stored in his burrow chests will be dropped out around the new rabbit burrow.

burrow chest ownership mechanics

- Burrow horn summons a chest exclusive to players (not shared). What chests are spawned depend on who blow the horn.

- Pet King's chests belong to Pet King, and are sharable. Blowing horn and Using King will summon 2 different chests.

- When Pet King dies, it will drop everything in his chest, similar to how Monkeys die.
