hey klei, I hope this post does reach you guys, I love your games and I've been playing webber and thinking about him a lot, because you see, one of my best friends passed away, the last game we played was DST, she played webber and I played wanda...

but without stretching this way more than I should, here's my concept for webber's skill tree, I hope you all enjoy it, feel free to give me feedback on things you believe to be a nice addition or believe that should not be one.

 

SILK ITEMS:

as some of you may know, webber has a... ''problem'', where he will pretty much always over produce silk, be it from farming spiders or just shaving his beard, community wise, people even consider this as his function on COOP, but he will sometimes produce way more silk than a full server even needs, which is why I suggest some structures made only of silk or mostly silk, some suggestions I already have about this:

SILK SLEEP BAG

as some of you webber fans know, he really struggles with sanity, specially in early game, and even late game if you haven't acquired a tahm o shanter, which is why. I think a sleeping bag of silk would be interesting, for instance, it would need ONLY silk, but would only be possible to use as WEBBER, the bag would work just like a grass made one, except this one would recover mostly only sanity and not health, it would however, decrease the hunger drain while sleeping in it, to prevent troubling other survivors on your server because you sleep too much. It would be a one time use thing.

 

SILK WALLS

many players really don't like walls for anything other than dragonfly and decoration, but I believe this would give it an interesting use:

webber would be able to craft walls made of silk, which, would only require silk to make. These walls would make a silk flooring similar to the ones in spider nests and wickerbottom arachnophobia book, which would be influenced by how much health the wall currently has, this wall wouldn't drop ANYTHING when destroyed, and would also be completely destroyed if someone broke it. The use of this wall is simple: webber has a speed buff when walking on silk floor, while enemies have a speed DEBUFF when walking on it, I believe this would be atleast somewhat useful for dealing with pesky things such as: Hounds, because slowing them down would enable you to just kill them by yourself, even on late game save slots, without having to tank them and eat a truck of food later, it could also be good for dealing with other bosses and annoyances such as deerclops, moose/goose, and maybe some other uses im not aware of.

 

SILK BUNDLE

I told some of my ideas to my friend, and he suggested something like this, basically, it would be just like a bundling wrap, but ONLY webber would be able to craft it, anyone could open it, but only webber could craft it. It would cost mostly silk, and it's main diference from the bundling wrap would be that it would NOT store food and/or living creatures in it, ONLY tools and resources, being somewhat useful for organizing things for boss fights or sparing chests from excessive amounts of resources early on.

 

NEW SPIDER WHISTLES

Spiders aren't exactly the brightest creatures in the game, so I wanted to suggest atleast two new whistles to command them

 

TACTICAL RETREAT WHISTLE

as it's name suggests, this whistle would make your befriended spiders retreat back to you, following you and awaiting for the next target you attack, this would be useful because spiders will follow enemies you attack until either of them are dead, which isn't exactly practical...

 

SCATTER WHISTLE

again, as the name suggests, this would make the spiders distance themselves from each other by a bit, being useful for enemies that would otherwise smash them like they're nothing with AOE damage.

 

Now let's head to a topic that most players seemed really excited when I brought up:

 

WEBBER COOKIE TRANSFORMATIONS

webber would now be able to eat his own cookies, giving him a transformation for a set amount of time, such as half a day, a day, two days or less than half a day, the transformation would not have a cooldown, HOWEVER, if you already are transformed, you CAN NOT transform again or change transformations UNTIL the current one is over, now let's get to the buffs, shall we?

 

WARRIOR COOKIE

the warrior cookie, being the simpler cookie, would give webber the ability to jump on an enemy from a medium range, it would not be an aoe attack, it would have a medium cooldown and it would deal 1.5x the damage of your held weapon, it could last for one day or half a day.

 

HEALING SPIDER COOKIE

getting to something a bit more interesting, the healing spider, one of the few spider cookies people actually tend to make. The healing spider cookie would give webber a new ability, that being the ability to heal in an AOE, healing 20 health, HOWEVER, it would ONLY heal 20 health to... you guessed it, SPIDERS! to other players however, it would only heal 8 health, including for webber. If you think a skill more helpful for other players would be more interesting, maybe the 20 health could apply to other player FOLLOWERS, such as wurt's merms, wormwood's little helpers, and etc. The skill would have medium to high cooldown, and it would consume either 5 or 10 sanity upon use, making so you can't just spam it whenever you can without consequences.

 

CAVE SPIDER COOKIE

one of the most useless spider cookies in the game for webber, is the white spider from the caves, as it is essentially just a warrior spider, but you need a bunnyman tail to make, this one would however, give webber the following ability when eaten:

webber would now be more used to being in dark places, making his sanity drain much lower when in dark places, such as afternoon, nighttime and the caves, other than that, webber would now be able to sleep on the ceiling when out of combat, if the player wishes to. This would have it's problems to, being for instance that he can only do it in THE CAVES, which would be fair since that's a place where sanity is a huge problem, specially for webby boy, who has only 100 sanity, the sleeping skill would also leave a spider web on the floor, like the ones from a nest, if anything were to step on it(except for other players when PVP is off) it would make webber instantly go down from the sleeping state regardless of if he wants that or not. Lastly, the sleeping effect would be the same as a bunnyman tail sleeping bag. The transformation would last for one full day.

 

SPITTER SPIDER COOKIE

another one of the most interesting spiders, which I believe you instantly thought of when heard the ''cookie transformations'' bit, is the spitter spider, let's be short: the cave spider transformation would last for less than half a day, it would allow webber to.. that's right, SPIT! the spit would have no cooldown other than the animation itself and would do 50% of the held weapon's damage, the spit would NOT be free of charge, it would cost either 10 hunger or 1 sanity per spit, whatever you guys believe to be the best option.

 

SHIELDED SPIDER COOKIE

this one is quite simple honestly. It would last for half a day and would give webber the ability to hide on a shell he would acquire(on his body, not as an armor) that would blook 100% of damage and work EXACTLY like a snurtle shell, HOWEVER, this shield would ONLY block the NEXT attack he takes, and it wouldn't be free of charge either, because this is extremely busted, it would drain the armor your currently wearing for 20% more than it would already drain if you just face tanked that said attack, the ability would have either medium or high cooldown, and yes, it would be possible to use while not wearing anything, as you would be risking no one but yourself by doing this.

 

LUNAR ISLAND SPIDERS

one of the, once again, least interesting spiders and spider cookies, it would give you a very simple buff, it would increase your planar damage and planar armor by a bit, it would last one day and that's it. It would be somewhat useful for very lategame stuff, but that's about it.

 

WATER SPIDER COOKIE

people really don't care about that spider for anything other than crab king, for me though, this cookie on webber will be the most interesting one: It would give webber 40% wetness resistance naturally, would either decrease or completely remove the sanity drain of being wet and equipping wet things, it would also deny the weapon slipping when you're too wet. I personally don't think this would be busted because these cookies require the water tree fruit, so you'd either have to plant a tree next to your base, which would need to be close to water, or bundle wrap a disgusting lot of these things. Anyway, it would last one day and NO, it would NOT, allow webber to walk on water. Sorry if that disappoints you.

 

This one isn't an original idea of mine or anything, but I got it as a suggestion on a DST stream:

 

SPIDER SPECIFIC NESTS

as simple as it sounds, some people were really excited on the idea of them being able to craft a specific nest for a specific kind of spider, instead of needing to go look for the spiders or make a hell of a lot of cookies, and personally I don't dislike the idea! my only adaptation of it would be that, the nests would only be able to hold a specific amount of spiders, being a lot less than the original amount of that spider's original nest, the nest crafts would not really be cheap, and each of them would require atleast one ''spider eggs'' item.

 

LUNAR AND SHADOW ALLIGNMENTS

 

so, this is my current ideas for shadow or lunar alligned webber

LUNAR ALLIGN 

the first skill for the lunar allign path would make so, when under ambients with the ''enlightment'' effect instead of the normal sanity effect, normal spiders befriended by webber(ONLY the normal ones, the default spider with 100 health and 20 damage) would transform, getting a fresh new look similar to webber's moonbound skin, but with the moon symbol in their head, these spiders would now have 200 health instead of 100, would do 35 damage instead of 20, and would have 15 base planar defense and 15 base planar damage.

the effect would turn off when the spiders get out of the ''enlightment'' zone for more than 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

the second skill for the lunar allign path would basically make so the effect also triggers under the full moon night, working the same way as the previous one.

 

SHADOW ALLIGN (1)

so, this one is tricky, I don't quite know what to do for this one, but these are my current suggestions:

normal spiders befriended by webber(again, default spider with 100 health and 20 damage) would now be granted a ''second chance'' when killed, reviving them with 50 health, however, this health would either;

be FULLY planar defense'd health, meaning they would only die again in the hands of a planar damaging entity

OR

it would just have a really high base planar defense.

as for the attack, it would still be 20, but half of it would be planar damage.

 

SHADOW ALLIGN (2)

my second suggestion, is honestly even more questionable, but here we go;

I've seen a considerable amount of people asking for webber to ''be able to mount the spider queen and fight alongside her'', obviously, this is not exactly ok, because not only is the spider queen a boss, but also she's an incredibly annoying one, so it'd be way too overpowered, but I have a somewhat adapted idea for this;

 

webber would now be able to craft a staff/tool that would summon a shadowy spider queen, having only 1250 health, she would not be able to have armor or any sort of buffs. It would deal 25 damage and attack just as fast as a normal spider queen, it would also summon spiders, however, these spiders would not be normal spider either, these ones would have 50 normal health and 10 normal damage, she would however spawn her just as fast as a normal spider queen does. She would either not spawn healer spiders or would still spawn them, but in a very nerfed version of them.

 

AAAAAANNND that's it. Thank you for anyone that readed all of that and please share this post's link if you liked my ideas.

eae meus camaradas fãs de don't starve, eu venho jogado bastante de webber e visto muitas coisas sobre ele recentemente, parte disso é porque uma das minhas melhores amigas infelizmente faleceu, sendo o ultimo jogo que jogamos juntos sendo don't starve together, ela de webber e eu de wanda...Mas pra não estender muito isso ja que é meio melancolico, vamos pra minha sugestão de skill tree pro webber;

 

ITENS DE TEIA

uma coisa que eu reparei no webber é que ele facilmente superproduz teia, a esse ponto ja é normal que achem que essa é até a função dele nos servers COOP, mas as vezes ele produz até demais, sabe? mais do que precisa, então minha ideia é que tenham itens de teia pra ele fazer que deem mais significado pra teia que ele produz alem do necessario, como por exemplo;

SACO DE DORMIR DE TEIA

seria um saco de dormir assim como o de palha, mas esse só poderia ser criado e usado pelo webber, só usaria teia para faze-lo e seria uso unico, não recuperaria quase nada de vida, mas recuperaria uma quantidade mais consideravel de sanidade e consumiria um pouco menos de fome do que um saco de dormir normal.

PAREDE/MURO DE TEIA

seria um muro de teia, como o nome sugere, ele seria feito só de teia, mas diferente de uma parede normal essa sumiria completamente se destruida de qualquer forma. Ela deixaria teia no chão assim como um ninho de aranha, escalando com a vida atual do muro, isso é bom porque o webber ganha bonus de velocidade nesse chão, enquanto inimigos tomam penalidade de velocidade, então daria pra usar pra coisas como farms, proteção contra hounds ja que eles ficariam lentos, entre outras coisas.

PACOTE DE TEIA

essa é uma sugestão de um amigo meu, basicamente, seria como um bundling wrap, mas esse NÃO IRIA guardar COMIDA NEM CRIATURAS VIVAS, só iria guardar recursos basicos e ferramentas, servindo basicamente pra transportar recursos e poupar espaço nos báus. Qualquer um poderia abrir o pacote, MAS SÓ O WEBBER poderia CRIAR um desses.

 

APITOS NOVOS

não é muito bem uma surpresa que aranhas não são la muito espertas nesse jogo, então eu tenho duas ideias de apitos novos, sendo eles;

 

APITO DE REAGRUPAMENTO

esse apito acalmaria as aranhas, trazendo elas de volta pra você até que ataque algo novamente, isso é util porque aranhas tendem a atacar algo até esse algo ou elas morrer(em)

 

APITO DO REPOSICIONAMENTO

aranhas são simples e basicamente inuteis contra inimigos com muito dano em area, esse apito talvez não ajude sempre, mas acho q ja é uma mão na roda. Basicamente, esse apito faria as aranhas se distanciarem um pouco umas das outras, pra não morrerem todas de uma vez pra um unico ataque.

 

agora vem o mais interessante

 

TRANSFORMAÇÕES ATRAVEZ DE BISCOITOS

vocês ja devem saber que o webber tem os biscoitos pra transformar aranhas, mas alguns desses não são nem de longe tão uteis de se fazer, então pensei em dar transformações pra o webber pra cada um deles, eles não teriam cooldown POREM não iriam poder ser utilizados novamente ATÉ que o efeito do atual acabe.

 

BISCOITO GUERREIRO

sendo o mais simples de todos, esse daria a habilidade de pular em inimigos, dando dano em alvo unico e tendo cooldown medio, dando 1.5x o dano da arma equipada, duraria metade de um dia.

 

BISCOITO CURANDEIRO

talvez seja controverso, mas esse basicamente daria a habilidade do webber curar em area, a cura seria de 8 em qualquer jogador na area, porem seria 20 em aranhas e talvez em seguidores aliados, como porcos, coelhos, merms, lobsters, e etc. A cura teria um cooldown medio ou longo e gastaria 5 ou 10 de sanidade por uso. O biscoito duraria por metade de um dia ou menos.

 

BISCOITO DE ARANHA DA CAVERNA

a aranha branca das cavernas, que não é nada alem de uma aranha guerreira q dorme no teto.

webber ficaria mais acostumado com ambientes escuros, como o entardecer, noite e as cavernas, fazendo o dreno de sanidade dele nesses ambientes ser relativamente menor, webber também teria uma habilidade que permitiria a ele dormir no teto(somente nas cavernas), ele poderia usar a habilidade fora de combate e o aumento de vida e sanidade seria similar a um saco de dormir de coelho, enquanto webber dorme nesse estado, uma teia será formada no chão, se for pisada por qualquer criatura(exceto players quando o PVP está desativado) fará webber descer imediatamente.

 

BISCOITO DE ARANHA CUSPIDEIRA

bom, seria o biscoito da aranha que cospe. Daria a habilidade de cuspir para o webber, dando 50% do dano da arma segurada, não teria cooldown, só teria que esperar a animação acabar. Cuspir gastaria ou 10 de fome ou 1 de sanidade por cuspe. O biscoito duraria menos de metade de um dia.

 

BISCOITO DE ARANHA ARMADURADA

seria o biscoito da aranha q esconde no casco, basicamente ela daria a habilidade do webber se esconder, bloqueando 100% do dano do PROXIMO ataque, teria um cooldown medio, fazer isso no entanto gastaria 20% a mais da armadura do que se você tivesse só tankado o ataque. Daria pra usar sem armadura, mas você que teria q se arriscar pra fazer isso. O biscoito duraria metade de um dia ou um dia.

 

BISCOITO DE ARANHA LUNAR

esse é simples, basicamente daria uma pequena armadura planar base e ataque planar base, tipo uns 10 de cada mais ou menos. Duraria um dia ou dois.

 

BISCOITO DE ARANHA D'ÁGUA

esse é pessoalmente meu favorito, basicamente ele daria 40% de resistencia a umidade pro webber, diminuiria ou removeria o dreno de sanidade ao usar coisas molhadas e removeria a chance de escorregar as armas da mão quando molhado. Duraria um dia.

 

NINHOS ESPECIFICOS

sugeriram que o webber pudesse fazer ninhos pra cada tipo de aranha, pra ajudar a não ter que fazer 1000 biscoitos pra cada aranha se transformar, não achei a ideia ruim, mas provavelmente devesse ser nerfado, tendo muito menos aranhas de limite por ninho ou algo do tipo. Gastaria um ovo de aranha no minimo pra fazer cada ninho.

 

ALINHAMENTO DAS SOMBRAS E LUNAR

 

ALINHAMENTO LUNAR

pra primeira skill de alinhamento lunar, aranhas normais(as de 100 de vida e 20 de dano) domesticadas pelo webber, se transformariam quando sob o efeito do ''enlightment''(aquele efeito da ilha lunar), ganhando 200 de vida em vez de 100 e dando 35 de dano em vez de 20, 15 dos 35 de dano seriam dano planar e elas teriam 10 de defesa planar cada. O efeito passaria se elas saissem do efeito ''enlightment'' por mais de 2m e 30s

a segunda skill de alinhamento lunar permitiria que esse efeito acontecesse durante a lua cheia assim como se fosse o enlightment.

 

ALINHAMENTO DAS SOMBRAS

pro alinhamento das sombras eu não sei muito como seria, mas tenho duas sugestões diferentes;

 

ALINHAMENTO DAS SOMBRAS (1)

as aranhas normais(denovo, 100 de vida e 20 de dano) domesticadas por webber, ganhariam uma ''segunda chance'' quando mortas, revivendo elas com 50 de vida e 20 de dano, POREM, das duas uma;

ou esses 50 de vida seriam 50 de vida especiais, fazendo com que elas SÓ pudessem morrer contra alvos com dano planar, OU elas só teriam uma armadura planar relativamente alta. De uma forma ou de outra, elas teriam 10 de dano planar e 10 de dano normal.

 

ALINHAMENTO DAS SOMBRAS (2)

eu percebi que uma quantidade notoria de pessoas queria que desse pra o webber montar na aranha rainha ou lutar com ela de aliada, isso obviamente não é viavel porque a rainha é muito forte e spawna bixo demais, mas eu pensei em dar uma adaptada;

webber poderia fazer uma ferramenta/cajado que invocaria uma aranha rainha das sombras, que seria uma aranha rainha normal porem com apenas 1250 de vida e 15 de dano. Ela ainda atacaria na mesma velocidade da rainha normal e criaria aranhas na mesma velocidade tambem, porem as aranhas dela seriam aranhas com 50 de vida e 10 de dano, ela não criaria curandeiras(ou criaria versões nerfadas delas).

 

é isso glr, dê seu feedback ai, porfavor votem nas enquetes pra klei ver o q vcs acham das ideias, e compartilhem o link do post com alguem que joga DST com vcs, porfavor.
