Zakery
Hi For some strange reason my auto sweeper try to load iron by micrograms portions ... WTF? this micrograms portions dont change temp and broke logic of my iron cooling cycle .... blakemw
This will happen. I recommend not having logic that depends on measuring the temperature of stuff on rails, you can try to work around the mcg behaviour in various ways, but do you really want to? Instead, use a Conveyor Meter, set it to 0.5 kg or 1 kg or something. Send a green signal into the Reset Port when the Steam Chamber is cold enough that more heat can be added. The low mass of metal will almost instantly equalize temperatures with the steam chamber. You don't need to use the Conveyor Meter, you can just put the Conveyor through a Metal Tile or two, even 20 kg of metal will basically instantly equalize temperature with the metal tile (heat exchange with a metal tile is roughly 100x faster than with Water, or 1000x faster than with Steam). Have a Tempshift Plate for strong thermal coupling between the Metal Tile and Steam. However, the Conveyor Meter will regulate heat input a lot better, 20 kg of metal at a time will add quite a bit of heat, and you probably want some automation to only release 20 kg every few seconds, not continuously, the Conveyor Meter is easier. Either way, you then know that the temperature of the debris is the same as the temperature of the steam (or the environment if not using a steam chamber) to within a few degrees, there is no need to measure it.
