DaddyMemeMaster
With the removal of Voidwalking the Atrium Obelisks will continue to drastically slow down, and delay Fuelweaver fights in bigger groups. I've gone through the Atrium with 6-11 player lobbies and it's always been a huge chore, and can cost a ton to get everyone through. The cost is not the problem. It's the time it takes to get to the fight and back being drastically longer than the fight. The Obelisks don't prioritize, or work separately from each other player making going insane to sane to insane horrible in bigger groups. You basically have to wait your turn off screen to pass through the Obelisks Or wait for one person to make the journey by themselves while you wait for them to make passage through the Atrium so you can teleport. (This is assuming you're doing the fight around or after your 1st summer. I never fight my 1st Fuelweaver this late into the game) And then again to leave.. Waiting is not fun. Voidwalking allows this to be done in a reasonable amount of time, and cuts down drastically on any waiting. To and from the Atrium. Wanda does help circumvent this problem however getting enough tusks with 1 Mactusk for everyone's cane, and at minimum 2 Wanda Portals is unreasonable. The worst part is with a lot more players and this amount of time in waiting meaning conversations it's easy to forget if someone has an item crucial to even starting the fight so more often than not the item(s) needed is still at base meaning more waiting for someone to retrieve it and come back or a rollback. Lol. Any chance we can see a rework to Obelisks in multiplayer? Or maybe after defeating Fuelweaver the Shadow Thurible allows passage through Obelisks regardless of sanity for all players? Maybe we can even use the repaired Atrium Portal to leave the Atrium or Caves. Ps- The Shadow Thurible should also get visible radius' for leading Reanimated Skeletons and the Fuelweaver cage immunity. I attempted to path out a way to fw arena with bridges and I managed to get about 60% of the way there before running out of spots to put bridges, there were about 4 gates between me and the arena still. so I suppose it's all up to RNG. But they definitely can cut down on time. Atrium has a lot of objects that block bridge placement, including obelisks, ancient obelisks, and floor spikes. Also the paths can generate further than 3 tiles away from each other. Here's an example of an atrium that cannot be bridged through: atriumnobridge.mp4 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/159262-the-atrium-obelisks-suck-in-multiplayer/#findComment-1742869 Share on other sites
