What is the point of the new mobs?

I can see the shadow mobs have some interesting design and attack but what is the incentive for the players to kill them, pure horror + tattered? I feel that is pretty uninteresting as we already have 3 mobs that drop plenty of those and I feel noone really enjoys killing them either. I feel these unique new mobs should have equally interesting drops that incentivizes people to go after them.

The new big depths dweller mob is another mob that has pretty useless drops. I don't know I wish there was more incentive to kill these new mobs rather than just ignore them

Sometimes people just have fun messing around with new enemies we don't need to be showered with unique drops for whatever we do.

@Wormboi I like the new portable chest. The rabbit suit is useful for herding bunnymen but i rarely see anyone use bunnymen for followers, especially if you're at the point where you have alot of bunny hutches on the surface. Merms are much better at that point in the game.

I think the rogue snake is cute. That's about it.

The Depth Worm Boss is awesome since I've wanted a Pugalisk like mob in the caves for a while now. The fact it is tied to Worm Waves is doubly exciting since, like the varglet, just makes survival harder which is more than welcome.

Every other critter is just... there. I was really hoping that the rabbit king would allow players to make their own burrow. or for the Lucky Rabbit to be picked up to place a new burrow. Something to make Rabbit Burrows renewable without having to rely on World Regrowth (I dislike this system so I disable it)

an idea I have for the boss depth dwellers to drop is maybe like a special glowberry you could feed to a wormhole on the surface, in turn that summons the REAL depths dweller. the WORM GOD!!! If you can kill it, you have the ability to place that wormhole pair anywhere u like. This is the type of update I would truly fall in love with.

Shoot I wouldn't mind if they just reskinned pugalisk and ported it over to DST for this new worm megaboss

The main reason people don't use bunnymen isn't because of merms as most people who aren't playing Wurt don't use them as well it's just that most people don't use followers much outside of specific characters and the rate people have has dramatically gone down as characters have become stronger. That being said I'ma enjoy using this when I play Walter.
