Gotheran
The whole focus of Winona is a but fuzzy but generally she's seen to be an engineer/factory worker who excels at maintaining industrial equipment, but all she gets is a spotlight and catapult? People are also a little upset with her skill tree as it seems to just make her more of a hassle to play or use as a swap character. Some idea's to make her stand out more on the industry side of things. AutoChop: Deployable machine that automatically chops down a tree its placed on, also uproots the stump for free. Not powered, breaks after so many deployments, but can be repaired with trusty tape. AutoPick: Same as above for stones and mineables Wire bundle: deployable structure that transmits power to nearby structures and takes from nearby generators and conveys energy at a decent distance between deployed wires allowing for remote power systems WaggleWatt: Upgrade to the lightning rod that targets and zaps enemies that stand in its radius, holds charge longer and can use generator charge when empty. WaggleVolt: Upgrade to the lightning rod to function as a generator, holds charge longer and can release charge to meet network demand. Preferred lightning target over regular rods and WaggleWatts. Fish-O-Matic: Deployable on ponds, catches fish autonomously. Beef-Wash: Powered machine that brushes a beefalo that passes through it. Slightly higher domestication boost than a regular brush, puts the beef on the same cooldown for being brushed. Incubator: keeps tallbird eggs and lavae eggs at perfect conditions till they hatch, powered, can also hatch bird eggs with random results, (risk of moonglass pengulls on a full moon day) Sawmill: Special crafting station to convert logs to planks and stone to cutstone. Yes woodie and wilson have similar functionality due to their skill trees but skill trees are kind of why these posts exist. Powered. D-Coy: Mannequin with a spear that occasionally takes aggro from enemies and does a small bit of damage in return. Winona herself needs alot of rethinking because even with these additions she doesn't stand out much on her own with few downsides and mostly uninteresting perks outside of her machines but honestly I can't fathom how to balance her as I've never played her and I can't say where her balance should be focused, unlike characters like WX who is meant to be modular and fit many roles, Wolfgang who is focused on hunger and combat or Wendy being focused more on sanity and safety. In theory Winona fits in the production category of characters like Woodie (should) be, part of why I added the automated resource harvesters so she has a way of multitasking at resource gathering which she should have easy access to right out of the gate to give her that edge on resource gathering.
