BabaFisi
I always hear on the forums about some “problem” that Wormwood has that isn’t actually a problem. In my opinion, Wormwood is the character with the best designed skilltree, as it takes into account every single attribute he has, and gives you the opportunity to either leave it as it is, or go beyond what was possible before. For the most part, this works. But there are a few little things that I would improve, given the opportunity. 1. Change/Rework Bee Kind, Lunar Cultivator I, Photosynthesis, and (maybe) Lureplant Crafting. These four skills are what I consider to be the worst in his roster. We’ve already heard about how the community would change Bee Kind, letting us pick up Bees with our bare hands, so I’ll skip that one. What I’d really like to go over is Lunar Cultivator I and Photosynthesis. Cultivator I is literally almost useless. You beat one of the hardest bosses in the game, and what is your reward? Small rats that do a job that a Lazy Forager already does… I already went over how I would change this skill in another post. I said I would make the Carrats become sort of “farming buddies”, and either immediately move food and seeds to iceboxes/chests after picking it up, or giving them the ability to hold Watering Cans and Fertilizer, so they do it automatically, while you (or the Friendly Fruit Fly) tend to them, so you can accumulate even more crop. Photosynthesis is quite possibly his most “bait-ish” skill, tempting newer players with that Oh-So important health, when in actuality, it’s a bad skill that gives barely anything. I actually don’t know how I’d change this one. Maybe change it so the regen is always happening when bloomed, and doesn’t depend on the time of day? I don’t know, leave some replies if you have better ideas. Lureplant Crafting, I never understood. You already get so many of them… I don’t know how I’d change them at all. 2. Some fertilizers either are too expensive, give too little health, and sometimes none. For instance: Rot and Poo are low tier items that you will eventually have a large number of in the lategame, right? So you’d expect the quality of fertilizer in the lategame to be higher than these two, right? WRONG Things like Glommer Goop, Tree Jam, Super Growth Formula, Bucket-o-poop, and Rotten fish all either are too costly, don’t give enough health to be sustainable, or just flat out don’t give health AT ALL. But most of the fertilizer I just mentioned gives Bloomness, so that makes up for it, right? I guess it does? But for the effort you have to go through to get good fertilizers, and then still just sticking to Compost Wraps, it makes you wish something like Super Growth Formula gave health, even if it’s just, like, 2 or 3 per use. 3. Why doesn’t Brambleshade Armor activate snares OMG I HATE THIS. I had to take time out of my day to make a reddit post asking if I should be using Brambleshade or Brightshade Armor, when I clearly knew the Brambleshade Armor would clearly be the winner, all because I thought the Snares would be helpful for at least SOMETHING. Alas, there was no messages telling me of any known strategies that specifically call for the Brightshade Armor over the Brambleshade Armor. WHY EVEN GIVE ME THE CHOICE? JUST PUT BOTH ABILITIES ON THE BRAMBLESHADE ARMOR!!! It would make tanking a bit more rewarding, and also let you hit enemies more with the Brightshade Vines from your Sword. And to those who say they “think it might be TOO overpowered”, first of all, have you tested it to see for yourself? And second, Maxwell can literally do basically the same thing, with his starting item, no less, and yet no one bats an eye… Thanks for Reading!
