Dear Klei Entertainment team, I kindly request your attention to the necessity of reworking the character Wortox. Compared to other characters, Wortox's mechanics appear outdated and lack depth, which diminishes the overall enjoyment and immersion in the game.

  1. Variety of Abilities: Introduce new abilities that not only enhance teamwork but also provide comfort and effectiveness when playing solo. For instance, abilities that aid in survival, exploration, or tackling challenges independently.

  2. Enhancement of Current Abilities: Develop existing abilities to ensure they are versatile enough to be used effectively both in cooperative play and when navigating the game alone.

  3. Adaptive Abilities: Include abilities that allow the character to adapt to various gameplay situations, offering solutions for both group and solo encounters. These could include utility skills or versatile combat tactics.

  4. Tactical Options: Create abilities or mechanics that empower the character to influence their surroundings or overcome obstacles independently, in addition to supporting team dynamics.

  5. Unique Ability Combinations: Design combinations of abilities that synergize well for both cooperative and solo gameplay, encouraging strategic use and enhancing the character's overall versatility.

  6. Character Progression: Ensure the character's progression includes enhancements that cater to both collaborative and solo playstyles, allowing for a balanced and engaging gameplay experience in all scenarios.

By integrating these aspects, the character can maintain relevance and enjoyment across various gameplay situations, whether interacting with others or navigating challenges alone.

I want him to have some sort of Followers, since he can’t use Pigs, Merms or Bunnymen.

I think the No-Eyed Deer would be a good fit. He could maybe socket gems into them, like what you can do with a Moonlens, and each gem would give them different abilities, like what Klaus does to his Deer.

I think current Wortox is a near perfect character. He's simple compared to the modern cast but he's got a great design. Wortox has great upsides, a unique playstyle that doesn't feel like any other character, significant downsides, interesting personality, etc. The only thing I think he could use is some later game progression and a skilltree.
