Bonbon trees drown in tiny amounts of liquid

Recommended Posts

Bonbon trees go into Drowning status with only the bare minimum amount of liquid on their base tile (e.g. 36.2g which is the smallest amount of ethanol I believe). Because of Spigot Seals, this makes Bonbon trees very prone to drowning. (Plus it's just weird that a tree drowns in a drop of liquid).

Are you sure they're drowning in a single drop of liquid?

They are fine with a small drop of ethanol in my experience.  However the the Bonbon tree biome starts out very cold: cold enough to liquify carbon dioxide.  I lost multiple trees to two layers of liquids, i.e. liquid carbon dioxide on top of ethanol, because my dupes had the gall to exhale while in the room with them.  But that's entirely within normal game mechanics.
