Jeane
I am a foreign user and very poor at English. I believe that testing at hardcore difficulty is very important when testing a game. I tested it a total of 20 times on hardcore mode, achieving all achievements. I would like to point out a few regrettable issues. While these may not be significant in survival difficulty, they are practically unusable content when it comes to maximizing efficiency in hardcore mode. The first issue we encountered was the low efficiency of Alveo Vera. I don't understand why KLEI added this in such a way when they already have references like the Saturn Critter Trap and the Carbon Skimmer. Alveo Vera requires carbon dioxide like the Oxyferns. This is a very critical drawback. It stops growing in a carbon dioxide-free environment. In other words, oxygen production on the base stops. It happens frequently in very late gas movements in ONI. Therefore, even if the complex process of converting ice into water is involved, the use of an electrolyzer is forced. There are more than one or two problems with the overwhelming performance of electrolyzer in ONI, but it's a pity that even the new content cannot be a rival. Even though the efficiency of Alveo Vera's oxygen supply is as high as that of the electrolyzer In 13 attempts, I tried to use Alveo Vera somehow. And the moment you give it up and choose the electrolyzer, the stability of the base increases tremendously. This is the second problem. The level of happiness according to the temperature change of the critter is too strict. This becomes an even more difficult problem to be applied on all other planets, and a prime example is Glossy Drekos. The growth temperature of the prey, Bristol Blossoms, Mealwoods, ranges from 10 to 30, and the comfortable range of Glossy Drekos is from 20 to 50. As a result, 20 to 30 kennels are forced. Yes, while playing this game, all the Newbies who don't know the concepts of cooling and heating will die. You did a great patch, klei Overall, if you look at this dlc, it seems like the intention is to play only those who are more proficient in the game. O6ygen Included
game released in 2019. It’s been 5 years since the game has formed its own fan base and regular players. It’s a little strange for me to see newcomers to this game since it is quite complex and rich in mechanics. If you start this dlc with 0 experience (up to 100-150 hours, I’m serious), then it’s not surprising that it will be difficult and incomprehensible for you. In order to calmly play this dlc, you need to clearly know what your colony needs at the moment and what you will need in 100-200 cycles. For a person who has played 400 hours the dlc will seem easy. I have already accumulated 650 hours (excluding the game time before purchasing it) and I calmly lived through 300 cycles (I couldn’t go any further since the main enemy of my colony is 10 fps) I would recommend before this dlc (which is designed more for the old people of this game) to play on a classic asteroid 3 times, reaching outer space, by building an eternal source of oxygen and curbing all the metal volcanoes available in your colony. after that it’s easy to imagine what to do at the beginning and next in the dlc. in short, for three of us there are 2-3 stoves (one stove for a room with 4 beds), the base should be rectangular at the bottom with isolated outlets on the sides (at the very last level we set 10-15 Alveo Vera go more (1 plant = 1 dupilcanth + take into account the stoves). We build 4 air-permeable cells on each floor (each room so that carbon dioxide falls). We collect oxygen from plants in a storage facility with priority 6 (2 storage facilities are enough) and the problem with the plant environment disappears. if there is not enough oxygen, then we put 2 production of polluted oxygen on the middle floors and clean it with sand (I put 8 pieces to clean everything exactly) the sand can be crushed or easier to dig out (plants will give the necessary time for this) I’m generally silent about food production (this is clearly not a problem for this dlc) just plant what they give you and that’s enough = wild carrots all over. that in the end we are digging to the water source. we build oxygen production, get energy and oxygen, and then the game begins as in an ordinary asteroid. If you want, I can upload a save where everything turned out quite simply (although I broke the ranch in it because I wanted to rebuild the base, but 10 fps did not allow me to do this. and the volcanoes didn’t have time to be equipped anyway, the environment cooled the metal) you’ll see what happens I have 2 saves 1) cycle 150 where the base is still in a cold biome with all the ranches and production (in fact, I didn’t do it perfectly and put everything anywhere just checking new content) 2) approximately 300 cycle where the production of oxygen and energy was automated, the base was moved so as not to heat up the main biome (there are many plans on the map: oil production without losses thanks to the volcano, arrangement of iron volcanoes (everything is there for this, just FPS does not allow) and a bunch everything else... in general: a new plant is not a panacea, but it allows you to keep the oxygen level at 1000 grams in 2 points of the base (in the rest, 600-800 is enough) there were no problems with animals at all, I installed it and it works (my doubles even ate their food since they needed less than they had) p.s Duplicants die from the cold only at -90 degrees (which only happened due to a bug) there is simply no such cold on the map. everything that gives cold -5 to athletics. which causes problems only at the start (even without heating when you have +10 to athletics, your duplicates don’t care, they can sleep even in a cold barracks) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/158072-i-am-a-foreign-user-and-very-poor-at-english/#findComment-1733821 Share on other sites

Therefore, even if the complex process of converting ice into water is involved, the use of an electrolyzer is forced. I obviously don't know for certain but I'm guessing your running into multiple separate problems but all are addressable. First I'm guessing you like many are rushing getting dupes this always strains any resources until you can establish ways to have renewable critical resources. It's quite possible to only use 3 dupes and until you can establish food/oxygen it may be better to not take extra dupes or at least reduce the amount you take. Second it sounds like you may have trouble concentrating you co2 as "It stops growing in a carbon dioxide-free environment." if you have no co2 in their environment the only way this is an issue is if you have lots of co2 in the rest of the base but not where your aloe vera is. You need to make sure you have regular flat levels with minimum 3 space wide columns running the entire height of your base with a ladder in the center you can make this better with more columns or by adding air permeable tiles on the edges of rooms. Also make sure rooms have an air permeable tile at the bottom so no co2 gets stuck in rooms. It is very important to have at minimum two spaces wide for air to move through vertically as types of air can not mix and can get trapped with one trying to go up and the other down. Third you have to move the oxylite away from the plant immediately after harvest as oxylite sublimating will delete co2 near it. Fourth one of the last changes made to the beta is there is a guaranteed co2 geyser on the starting asteroid you should find this asap for two reasons one it will make up for any co2 getting deleted from oxylite but more importantly if you over pressurize the co2 at the bottom of your base where the Aloe vera should be oxylite will not sublimate meaning you no longer have to worry about co2 being deleted at all. This does not mean Aloe does not have problems it is still very dupe heavy labor wise and the deleting of co2 is really annoying if manageable but it is not nearly as hopeless as you might think. Yes, same here. This DLC is a _challenge_. And it is not like the fake "challenges" in other games where the game appears to be hard, but really only the most inept players will fail. Yes, lying to the players like that and coddling their egos may boost sales for some games, but makes for really boring gameplay for people that actually want a challenge. ONI is not a mainstream game. Klei can either cater to its fanbase, and that means staying true to the spirit of the game, or it can lose it completely.
