Shield Reworks (Shield of Terror and Battle Rond)

So, this was just an idea me and my cousin had while brainstorming ideas for DST. I had the idea of Wigfrid being able to duel wield her Elding Spear and Battle Rond, because a Dash and Block would make for a neat combat strat, and it’d also look sick as heck

Then, my cousin had the brilliant idea of also making the Shield of Terror have this sort of mechanic. The block, and more importantly, the dash.

The dash is important, because in Terraria, the Shield of Cthulhu (Which is what the SoT is based on) is famously known for giving you an early game dash. 
 

Here’s how I would go about reworking the two: 

Both are now Body slot items, as the two already give armor, but visually is held in the character’s other arm, allowing them to “duel wield” a weapon with the shield. So for instance, you could put the SoT as you body armor, and then use a Dark Sword as your Weapon. The shields would no longer act as a Weapon, but now do the mechanic explained now:
 

While holding the Elding Spear and Battle Rond, you now do the dash attack via holding left click and then releasing. This is similar to charging mechanics found in many games, most commonly, Megaman.

The Battle Rond would still activate w/ right click, and holding f would just spam the melee attack, as usual.

For the Shield of Terror, you get both of these abilities at once, but wouldn’t go through the enemy like the Elding Spear, which not only keeps it from being as powerful, but also is a reference to how the Shield of Cthulhu works in Terraria.
 

I feel like this would go along with Klei’s “Everyone shouldn’t be locked out of something one character has” philosophy by giving every character a mechanic that would be most commonly seen on Wigfrid. (And also stick to continuity w/ the Shield of Terror being a Terraria item, and yet being completely different from the item on which it is based)

You could probably also use the Shields as they are now, as in just regular Melee weapons, maybe?
