Tenedas
I've jumped in the new beta test right away and had great fun. Tried out the new things and figured out the new starting puzzle to survive the early game. I am just a bit disappointed that from a first look endgame is going to be basically the same as always. I was really looking forward for some threating high risk high reward cold source. Managing heat is basically the endgame right now. Would be great to see the opposite challange and fight against the cold or have the colony freeze to death. (Now possible with the intrudocution of cold damage) Looking forward for others opinions on the endgame subject Cheers Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/157531-new-dlc-same-endgame/ Share on other sites
2tallyGr8
Perhaps some new variant of geysers that output very cold (solid?) versions of everything? The challenge is then heating stuff up to a liquid/gas state to make it usable. DolphinWing
There are some colony achievements currently disabled in the beta test. But we can only try them when this DLC is released. So stay tuned! imazined
From looking at the code it looks like there will be a new endgame goal with real risk involved. That's really interesting, would you be more precise on where to look and what did you see there? This seems like it needs a spoiler warning: Spoiler There is code in the state machine of the geothermal unfinished gizo that says: DoVictoryFanfare() or DestroyPlanetoidAndDisplayColonyFailed() Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/157531-new-dlc-same-endgame/#findComment-1729440 Share on other sites
PatrykC159753
i missed the new plant aleo vera It changes late game oxygen generation 100%. it can drop seed. That makes this plant able to mutate if u have spaced out dlc and radiation. If we look at any mutation a loot of them give interesting buffs. Like Exuberant -75% live cykle for just 50% more fretilizer per cykle that meens it requires 30Kg of ice to produce 72 kg of oxylite per cykle. thats 2.4 ration of water to oxygen. current best is electrolizer witch gives you 0,888 kg of oxygen per killo of water. Ususaly electricty is not a problem in lategame that meens that you can use a litle beet of your power suply to transform whater form vent and other thinks into ice, litle bit of co2 and then dupes to harvest this plant but as a payoff you get more then 2 times more oxygen. I think it will change late game its so powerfull it makes mutating seeds a worth think to do becose it soooooo much beter then willdplanting it.
