Frosty_Mentos
I feel like this game shouldn't end up being a boss rush game in the end and would focus more on immersion and survival for the sake of just chilling and having fun. I know a couple of people that feel that they just wanna be doing survival and feeling like engaging with the world more but there's not enough world to engage with sometimes is what the feeling is and I completely agree. The game has been getting one after another content update of new environments new bosses all these huge and mega epic updates on progression or whatever, but the rest of the world does feel kinda... abandoned? I don't wanna be a negative Nancy here but if we just gonna get bosses as progress I think it'll be closer to some people just never wanting to try engage with the game cause bosses sometimes is just a very boring aspect of the game. I kinda feel for those that want more survival and engagement elements to the game where interacting with nature and building improvements would actually mean something and not just act as player's megabasing gardens as to what we'd end up doing with the world. Killing all the bosses is already more than enough content at the moment imo. We've got more than enough compared to many other games that has lots of them too and we got other mixed in elements like surviving in that mix to deal with. Cawnival is a great interaction, but the crows don't exactly do more than being a set dressing. There's so much going on there but when you play solo you just kinda really feel alone in the middle of a built cawnival and just likely resort farming tickets by gambling instead. Having maybe crow kids play the games or play with you to team up might make it more enjoyable? Splitting tickets sometimes with one and another idk. We will see if this event will get an update this summer. There was a mention of Klei considering doing more with followers similar to Cult of The Lamb that I've mentioned in another post, so that'd be something to look forward to someday! The ocean is getting a decent update on beta, so I have less to complain about there. Though maybe playing ball with a gnarwhale would be a fun idea to do, kinda like a sea volleyball or even engaging at a play with wonkeys or them challenging you into that instead. A slightly more ideas I had in this post than the previous about wanting environmental changes and more artistic vision and just immersive survival gameplay to be in the mix, I think many would appreciate a lot more of those. What'chu think? Deactive41year
More interactions between creatures, More creatures straight up, more biomes throughout the world, and cave water are on the top of my list. What'chu think? I basically play DST the same way as I play the singleplayer games, means I love the survival and general the world, exploring, interacting with the animals (I love collecting followers) the most, while I try to avoid combat as much as possible. (aside from my followers automatically feeling the need to "protect" me) EDIT: AND THE STAGE!!! I love putting a character onto the stage simply for seeing their "stage acting" replacing the ddial loop animation. It's adorable, although the stage is not "rewarding" as boss-fighting may be. Pet Rock
The rifts were a perfect opportunity to add more survival stuff to the game without changing the early game to much, so I really hope they will add more and fix some issues, like solutions for the new weather hazards immediately being available. Sir Noel
As someone who enjoys good progression, I have to acknowledge that DST doesn't really have much of it outside of bosses. In games like Terraria this works because the bosses are directly tied to your progression and act more as a "gate" that unlocks a whole myriad of new things for you once you defeat them. But DST is a game about survival, and while a part of that is combat related, the actual surviving part has been neglected. This is mainly due to character refreshes having priority for the last few years, but it is what it is. I'd like to see more aspects in survival that have progression mechanics, aka we're working up towards a goal that could potentially take many days of work to achieve; with a great reward coming afterwards, of course. If you want an example of this, look at Pearl. Many of her quests require specific conditions or resources from certain seasons to complete, we're not just doing one thing and never thinking about it again (Yes, technically you're only helping her in the end for the CC quest, but there are other rewards she can give which are nice, especially with the recent sunken treasure buffs). Oh yeah also ruins lmao Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/157319-less-bosses-and-new-challenges-and-more-base-gameimmersion-improvements/#findComment-1726957 Share on other sites

Interacting with world creatures in the form of NPCs like Pearl would be lovely if there was added more of them. Also those NPC / civilizations like additions is why I adore Hamlet so much. The more of it would make DST feel more lively too. (Also maybe flesh out Pig King and Monkey Queen more) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/157319-less-bosses-and-new-challenges-and-more-base-gameimmersion-improvements/#findComment-1726962 Share on other sites
