But is it worth the crafting cost? If I’m being honest I don’t actually know what the recipe is, but each mosquito sack gives 8 health. So, if it costs three mosquito sacks, then you aren’t getting any benefits

1 sack and 1 beef wool for Lil' Itchy which lasts for 8 days

2 sacks a Bloodshot

1 sack and 4 skeets a Skeeter Bomb

1 sack, 2 nitre, and 1 manure a Fertilizzzer

The update speed up the process of getting those resources by a lot.

It's actually amazing how allowing Wurt to pick up mosquitos fixes every issue presented with the mosquito branch and the amphibian branch and even opens up some new advantages so I just want to thank the devs for this change.

I'm sorry, but how is that different from catching them with a net? For me the whole branch still feels pretty meh.

it doesnt cost anything now and you can do it in 2 seconds which means you can amass the resource very quickly

Bloodshot now just requires you to pick up some mosquitos at night for a healing item that rivals honey poultice without having to farm a external resource first. Fertilizzzer now only really needs nitre making it a very cheap fertilizer.

Skeeter bombs only real problem was how expensive they were and while you'll still need to pick up a lot of mosquitos in order to mass produce them removing the net's massive resource sink means that these bombs can be built up as a alternative to merms for shorter play sessions and just as a different way to play Wurt in general. Also this makes it easy to reuse left over mosquitos from your skeeter bombs for crafting another one but don't worry this doesn't mean you can dupe the skeeter bombs since the sack drop rate is only 50% so trying to dupe them is only going to waste resources.

This easier access to mosquito sacks also means even easier access to water balloons which is where the amphibian branch comes in as well.
