Should some tolerance be given to Sproutrock and Gloomthorn that have lost Applied Silviculture

Recommended Posts

The process is so long that people no longer look for treasure for these insignificant gems and fruits

Now that they have lost the Applied Silviculture that allows them to go crazy, should there be more tolerance about their growth time

If you don't know how long it takes to get them: the probability of getting them from treasure only exceeds 35% after 75 days, after which you need at least half a year to cultivate them (if you don't get the seeds in the required season, then the process will be even longer). Even if the seeds have grown into a tree, you still have to wait up to 25 days to harvest them, and the reward is just 3 gems or 4 fruits.
This cultivation process is longer than cultivating an Above-Average Tree Trunk, and the harvest is far less exciting than the Above-Average Tree Trunk.

For most players, they are more like legendary stars than treasures worth looking for.

Roughly through google translate, they are suggesting the trees should perhaps grow faster / be more easily acquirable since applied silviculture no longer works for them. Justification is that they don't provide much resource as is and suggests they aren't worthwhile to farm.

I tend to agree that they're not worthwhile for the resources atm, but only because there's so much RNG stopping you from finding more seeds. If pirate raids gave some treasure maps, and treasure itself had a chance to drop a map, there would be a more interesting gameplay loop to farming them at least.

Seed access is one of the issues, but I still think the wait time for them to harvest is too long. Even the Above-Average Tree Trunk takes only 16 days to grow, and after waiting up to 25 days, you'll only get 3 gems or 4 fruits from them.
I think the 10-day wait is perhaps more in line with the value of these gems and fruits
