Wurt Combat skills

To me, it makes no sense why Wurt doesn’t have a unique weapon to her name. Wormwood has the Brightshade Sword, Winona has her Catapult Remote thingy, Wigfrid has her Elding Spear, Willow has her Lighter, Heck, even Woody has his Moose form, and that’s not really even a weapon.

I get that Wolfgang and Wilson don’t really have any unique combat abilities. (besides Wolfgang already being combat centric) But the point I’m getting at is that I think that Wurt should have some sort of combat skill unique to her, and not just her Merms. What’s she gonna do when her Merms aren’t there?

For some ideas to go about this, I think the Mudslinger could work as a melee weapon that does more damage if you are standing on Marsh Turf, which it already spawns. This rewards the player for keeping the enemy in one spot.

Alternatively, you could take a note from Hamlet and give Wurt the ability to craft a Merm Scepter, or something. The idea here is that Wurt would act as a sort of Merm princess, and thus have greater control over the Merms. Summoning them at will, or maybe even casting spells with it. You could also make an argument for her with the Strident Trident, but you already use that for the King Merm.

What if there was a throwable trident she can use where when it hits an enemy it causes your recruit merms to charge at the target for increased damage, and you can recall the trident to command your merms to retreat back to you. I don't know Im just brainstorming some ideas and yes I blatantly took that idea of a throwable trident that returns to you, from Minecraft.

She was already bloated with perks and now she got a decent skill tree and, funny enough, includes an exclusive range weapon

everyone can have followers just make a pig farm

I like the idea but that puts into question on what Wurt would need inorder to craft tentacle spikes. I don't think tentacle spots would be a good idea as you need to kill tentacles of which will likely just drop tentacle spikes anyways, Wurt needs those spots for Merm Guards and by the time you have a Merm King to trade for spots, you likely have access to better weapons like Hambats or Dark Swords at that point. And I do think Wurt needs more of an earlier game boon for herself as she's basically just a vegan Wilson that can recruit standard merms as of now.
