Few Worrox skill ideas

I want them to feel fluid, like his current abilities that don't need extra Ui or something. I will list a few random skill ideas.

i wont give stats since these are concepts

 

Soul Bomb:

Dropping souls on the ground also deals damage to nearby aggressive enemies. This might be too op in spider farms, so something will need to balance it.

 

Soul Crush:

If holding a weapon, Teleporting also does an aoe damage slam on the ground on the spot you land.

 

Soul Resurection:

Give multiple souls to a ghost to revive it. This also restores them at full hp which is unique to this. (Will need more balancing)

Soul Resurection II:

When Wortox dies with 18 souls in his inventory, he consumes these 18 souls and cheats death while healing to full.

 

Soul Bond:

Give souls to another player or creature: You both share damage you take with each other. (Weird gimmick idea?)

that'd be awkward to use because most of the time instead of being additional damage from soul hop kiting you'd intentionally teleport in place to spawn it to kill things through AoE

I dont see why though. If you dont want to do the aoe because you fear of hitting walls or something, you can not hold a weapon.

A smoke bomb could be a variation, so you either choose slam or smokebomb, but the intent of the slam is to catch moving targets, and to add some extra damage for when you dodge using souls.

That's not why i said it but now that you mentioned it, it would cause a lot of accidents. Apart from that i just thought it would fit better if it was a spell and not just the normal teleport.

There not any reason to seperate the two.

It would be annoying to switch between the two.

This probably doesn't need balanced considering how many aoe attack options we have nowadays.

Honestly seems like a nice idea could probably handle it like Wolfgang's dumbell toss and make it consume 10 durability per cast with the durability cost being ignored on the free inbetween teleports.

This is probably fine just make it cost 15 souls and some sanity to make it more in line with how they handled Wortox vs Wanda full map teleports. His is expensive with no cooldowns while her's is free after the intial craft but with cooldowns.

Added 2 new skills. The 2nd soul bond one is a weird idea i thought of. Give it to a player to even out the damage you take, give it to another creature so you take less damage and it takes it for you. Give it to a boss and try something weird.

Not really, Willows spell wheel works just fine it could work like that.

People won't always remember they are holding a weapon before they teleport and it's gonna create fascinating oopsies.

Some of random ideas that I just generated, numbers not balanced. Just concepts mainly.

Soul Food:

Spoiler

Can add soul into crockpot to make food. Other ingredient has to be meat or animal flesh, can't be fillers or vege.

This food doesn't have 50% hunger penalty. 50 total hunger, heals 20 hp (from the ingredient of soul), potentially drop sanity.

While eating this food, 20% chance will drop a soul that heal up surroundings (cannot be picked up).

 

(I'm not listing other side effect that this food can have.)

 

Soul Flute:

A Flute that blows away (delete) 20 max hp (AND effective hp) to get a temporary soul.

The soul can be used as regular soul, but disappears if not used before 20 seconds.

After 20 sec, this soul disappears, Wortox get max hp back, but lost hp doesn't get healed automatically.

Soul Flute has cooldown of 4 min (half a day).

 

(A lot of tricky math and balancing can be invented here to create interesting gameplay)

(In the case where wortox's current hp is way lower than max and deleting max hp doesn't affect the effective hp, wortox could potentially abuse this to get infinite healing up to near max hp. So effective hp will need to be reduced as well when its way below max hp.)

 

 

Soul Mate:

To celebrate Wortox's newly found best friend, he creates special soulmate idol using 10 souls (half of max stack soul) and half of max hp. He can teleport to this idol regardless of distance using 1 soul. Wortox will have an soulmate button on HP meter, which can be clicked to start teleportation.

Unlock Requirement - Kill certain amount of Krampii

This soul mate idol can be given to Wortox's true soul mate. Alternatively, it can be stored in chest or left in ocean if he's lonely or being bullied by his soul mate.

1 soul mate per Wortox (irony intended). can travel across cave-surface.

 

When Wortox or soul mate idle carrier leaves the DST server, the idol will drop from inventory, and disappear after being left on ground for 2 days, creating a rose of the color of his soul. Wortox's can examine the idol's status by hovering over HP meter, to see whether it's been abandoned, stored in chest, or cherished by the supposed friend.

 

Affinity:

Spoiler

Get extra planar damage equal to the number of souls in inventory using affinity weapon (including ruin weapons and tools).

Get extra planar defense equal 0.5x the number of souls in inventory wearing each affinity armor (rounding up).
