I've said it before, and I still stand by it. Make the torch tree work on all light sources and he's fine. Nobody is really pushing into the niche of 'really good at lighting up the dark' because its an incredibly basic niche that is probably only valued by new players. Barely anyone dies from the dark once they understand that it can happen, so its not like making light items more efficient on wilson will powercreep his role at being bland and unremarkable, but at least it'll be something neat.

Reword torch durability to fuel efficiency, make it so lanterns and mining hats he fuels and uses last longer with the perks, make them light up a larger area, and boom. Could even make it work with Mushroom lamps and Deck Illuminator, stuff people probably wouldn't think 'oh this changes the character to be too complicated' if he could just fuel them for a little longer.

Yeah. Like, I proposed IF those people still think ALL light sources should have their radius/durability increased if built by Wilson was "too OP", AT LEAST make the equipable light sources as so.

We barely have that many of equipable light sources anyway. Just torch, miner hat and lantern. Moggles already let players see in the darkness full-screen. Obviously the Enlightenment Crown shouldn't count since it depends on the player's sanity. But still, it would serve Wilson much better than just the absolute mediocrity of the torch tree.
