M̶o̶m̶ s̶a̶i̶d̶ i̶t̶s̶ m̶y̶ t̶u̶r̶n̶ t̶o̶ p̶o̶s̶t̶ a̶ t̶r̶i̶d̶e̶n̶t̶ t̶o̶p̶i̶c̶. Anywho it sounds fun making stuff up so i wanna try lol

So, the trident, currently seems to be a combination of a magic stave of sorts and a weapon. Currently bogged down because the magic half doesnt do much outside niche circumstances (wicker fish book my beloved) and the weapon half only has 150 uses, and it requiering the annoying 3 horns to get (Yeah yeah decon staff and construct amulet)

I suggest any combo of these small buffs to be added.

●The magic cast being able to scare away (or one shot) monkey raids and maybe rock sharks too

●If cast on a submerged object, the spell will send it flying to your location. What with treasure hunting stonks about to skyrocket and all

●Heavy durability buff to the weapons side, from 150 to 300-400. Fifty casts for the magic part is fine imo

If no durability buff, how about it just regens durability when equiped out at sea. Maybe it regens faster by draining your wettness meter, like how dreadstone does with sanity? Idk

●ability to use it as an infinite(?) Use wood (or maaaybe driftwood) oar

●Give it the poke attack animation and give it whip range. Would be great for Rock sharks/look cool using a trident as... a trident lol

●An indirect buff but maybe give narwhals a designated home? The ice island sure seems like a good biome seeing as irl narwhals live in the Arctic

●Im also open to just giving it a passive buff. I like passives, i think theyre neat

-sanity out at sea, like a handheld tam

-fish/ocean creatures are more likely to spawn

-rock sharks will ignore you/maybe be scared off near you

-Malbatross is more aggressive (will insta agro to you wont flee when in hand)

-The sea attack buff (27 on land, 68 at sea)  being an aoe buff when equiped similer to wigfrids and boosts your friends/minions around you as well. Maybe an attack buff, maybe something else idk

Personally, i dont think the trident needs much to be a great addition to ones boating arsenal, but i do agree it needs a little more oomf
