What if Wurt can make Swamp Gas Bombs? Also, some other idea(s) related to the Swamp.

Swamp Gas Bombs

  • This idea to just came to me out of nowhere, I just realized that swamps are known for their gases and DST's swamp lacks that detail, so I thought what if Wurt can make Swamp Gas bombs that creates a poisonous zone that lingers for a while which DoTs everything in it?
  • It can be crafted with Nitre + Manure + Mosquito Sacks or Nitre + Rot + Manure or Guano + Manure + Rot.
  • Wurt and Merms will be immune to Swamp Gas, but for non-merms the Clever Disguise can doubled as a Gas Mask(Now other survivors will have more of a reason to use it when playing with a Wurt).
  • Or just bring back the Poisonous Mosquitoes from Shipwrecked, those will be way more effective than Regular Mosquitoes.

Will-O'-The-Wisp

  • How come everywhere but the Swamp has a Light Source?
  • Glowing Gas or Glowing Creature that only appears in the swamp
  • Provides a Light Source that dissipates when ran through and redevelops after

Voodoo!

  • I'm kidding..unless...

Just some stuff that I had to get out of my head, I don't know if these are good or not, but I needed to post them or else it'll just keep haunting me...

Ah, I was expecting you, lol...

I think the reason why Klei wants to give Wurt gadgets is to make her more active in combat, as of now she just stands around looking at the sun while her Merm Army fights in the background, but I agree I'm not really one for gadgets, but I also don't like just standing around doing nothing..

then the issue is that.. what are the guards for then? maybe she could have skills to give commands to them so that she is more involved?

command them to throw grenades, command them to retreat, make them form a square, ect. thoughts?

That is what I'm hoping Klei meant by "smarter" Merms, I want to control my Merms like RTS Units, if Webber is Pikmin, then Wurt should be like Command & Conquer or Warcraft 3.

You dont really need to stand around and do nothing. Its much more effective to get involved so much less merms die. Also its mostly a flaw with merms in general lategame. Once you have enough merms, every boss is easy as pie. Unlike Webber, Wurt's merm warriors can brute force through any boss fight using kiting and doing tons of damage

Not saying she couldn't have things to do directlg with Merm's in combat, like commands.

Maybe. I hope they lean little into combat or both Webber and Wurt are going to have an identity crisis.

Are you proposing a nerf to Merms? ;-)

Maybe needing a perk to unnerf them in Wurt's skill tree? :-D
