Something is a bit off about the recent Gourdo weapon nerf

So, in recent fortification update some changes have been made into the Gourdo weapons. Now technically you cannot heal yourself with Gourdo weapons. In general gameplay it seems like a direct nerf in certain circumstances :

First and foremost, you cannot get Bonus 20%+ Heal Share from Gourdo Vest.

While wearing this specific set, you can heal your allies 42 HP per skill (32 + 10), but if you're at full health, you can only heal 32. You cannot get the bonus heal share from Gourdo Vest. 

Also, the Gourdo weapons don't deal damage if you heal yourself at full health. You still can deal your enemies with spam skills, but first you need to lose your health. And this changes seems quite unintuitive to me. You get disadvantages, if you don't get hit and managed your health well? This is the main reason why the recent changes about Gourdo feel a bit off.

Maybe I guess the main reason why this change has been made was, to tune down some situations where Gourdo Weapons yield insane hitstreaks with certain powers like Bloodthirsty or Crit to heal. In that aspect the change is understandable, and I agree with the change in that aspect. But besides that, I think we need to get some bonus Heal & Deal at full health still. So there're some alternative I can come up with :

  • Make the gourdo spear heal damage can be happen only once in 0.5 seconds - similar to the attack rate of Gourdo's Community Garden skill. It will not kill the skill for dealing purpose, while effectively limit the possible game-breaking hitstreaks from some powers like bloodthirsty.
  • Or change the way the Gourdo weapons' dealing mechanism - For example you need to heal 100 hp first to deal 300 damage.
  • Changing some numbers - Increase the minimum requirements for gourdo weapons to deal damage, or Set a maximum capacity you can heal per a hit by Bloodthirsty. This one seems kinda crude though
