Malfario
Very simple, since the objective of this item is to help decluter the boat from structures i think it would be better if we simply could make structure we are not currently using hide under the boat. Picture this, you are sailing with your high speed as well as expensive saild in the ocean, and suddenly you spoted malabatross, you wanna fight him but her breaking your sails its annoying and can not be prevented unless you make a secondary boat to fight her. But in this hipothetical version, you can alt+leftclick on a structure built on an ancient boat so they dont break while you fight her, they hide and left a little spot on the boat that if you click, come back again in all their built glory. You finished your giant seed farming session ? retract the pinch so it doesnt bother you while you sail, a pirate raid appeared ? hide your sails and uncover your cannons. For balance and simplicity obviously this should only be able to do with boat related structures. Anyways i though this was an idea worth sharing, i dont know how manageable this actually is, in theory they could just use the building animation of all this structures, but play it on reverse to show how they retract into the boat, but even then they should probably modify it a bit. However its 3 weeks and the beta before the release so there might be time. As always, so excited for the new update, and much love for all of klei to deliver such magnificent content. chirsg
Even if it doesn't make it in the beta, it should make it in eventually. I don't think the new boat has enough pros to really pursue over normal boats. Chests aren't so obstructive to a boat, honestly.
