caves Cave concept: Newmoonquay biome!

=- NEW BIOME: The grave of Wamelia Wearhart/Newmoonquay -=

The secret DLC character that was never meant to be...

This biome is a little moist.

- Lore -

When (W)Amelia was stuck near Howland, Maxwell made a deal with her to send her somewhere other than the island.

Later, she died in the caves, vowing to get revenge on Maxwell.

Eventually, part of Moonquay sunk into the caves, right onto (W)Amelia's grave, causing a new biome to emerge!

 

- Hazards -

Being near someone's grave is never good.

= Shallow water =

Too shallow to place a boat in, but not deep enough to immediately drown you. You'll have to walk through it.

- While in the shallow water turf, wetness is increased by 15/min.

- Wurt is immune to the effect and gets a 10% speed buff.

- Visually, the edges of the cave floor (when it has shallow water turf) will be a waterfall.

= Cave rain =

- Due to the giant holes in the cave ceiling from Moonquay falling into the underground, it's constantly raining. (No acid rain.)

- Every 4 seconds some random debris will fall.

= Coconut crabs =

Hungry for coconut AND human flesh! Also spider humanoid flesh.. plant humanoid flesh... metal... deer flesh... fish flesh...

STATS:

HP: 200

SPD: 3

Defense: Flat 30 damage reduction

ATK: 30

PATTERN: 

- Groups of 4 will attempt to surround the survivor, slowly closing in on them.

- Coconut crabs randomly spawn by emerging from the water.

DROPS:

[Fish morsel] x 1

[Cockoonut] x 1

 

- Cockoonuts -

- Can be opened with a hammer, giving coconut flesh and has a 10% chance to drop nightmare fuel.

COLLECTING:

- Dig up the bulb, it regrows a coconut every 6 days and needs to be fertilized.

STATS:

100% sanity

HP: 1

Hunger: 3

Sanity: -15

50% sanity

HP: 10

Hunger: 33

Sanity: 0

Insane

HP: 15

Hunger: 66

Sanity: Spawns a shadow creature.

- Cannot be cooked.

 

- Cramboo -

- Periodically regrow around the biome, about 4 regrow every day

- The biome can have a maximum of 20 of them at a time.

- When chopped, they drop 4 cramboo pieces.

 

- Crafting -

New items for the hassle of going through the biome.

= Primitive sprinkler =

RECIPE:

[Cramboo] x 4

[Ice] x 10

[Twig] x 2

USE:

- Can be refuelled using ice or a watering can, can hold 3x the space of a watering can. Will be refuelled by 20% every minute while it rains.

- When you walk near it, it will water 4 farm tiles around it to 100% wetness.

- Will only water completely dry plants. Spends 50% of a watering can when watering.

= Bamboo pots =

"Plants to go, please." - Wilson

RECIPE:

[Bucket o poop] x 1

[Cramboo] x 5

[Rope] x 1

USE:

- Can hold 4 of a type of farm plant (When placing a seed, it will be locked to that type of seed, can be dug up too.)

- The pot can be placed everywhere! Water, boats, Drying racks, ground!

- Can be watered and fertilized for faster growth (when happy, it grows 33% faster.)

- Can hold 1 berry bush, 4 grass tufts, 4 saplings, 1 banana bush ect.

= Cramboo boat =

"Let's see how it floats... i stole that line from Wickerbottom." - Wilson

RECIPE:

[Cramboo] x 15

[Rope] x 3

USE:

- Has 125 health, but moves 33% faster than a boat.

- Leaks are more 33% damaging to your boat's health.

= Coconut mallet =

"It's almost as good as the panflute, right?" - Wilson

RECIPE:

[Cockoonut] x 1

[Cramboo] x 1

[Rope] x 3

5 uses.

USE:

- 20 damage, puts non boss mobs to sleep after hitting them, mobs will be delirious and panic for 3 seconds after waking up.

= Coconut boxing gloves =

"Unlike actual boxing, i am out for blood." - Maxwell

RECIPE:

[Coconut] x 2

[Rope] x 2

[Shadow fuel] x 4

50 uses

USE:

- Deals 20 damage each hit.

- Drains 2 sanity per hit.

- Will have a chance to K.O non boss mobs below 50% health, instantly killing them. The chance depends on the health of the mob.

 

- My thoughts -

Similar to the hollow grove concept, except it's actually in the caves this time.

I thought the idea of coconut crabs eating Amelia Earhart was funny so i made a concept based off of that.

I think you should do something with unnatural energy seeping down as well as a wonkey interaction and possibly half  breeds in between  splumonkeys and powder monkeys

ig monkeys could sometimes drop down from the ceiling, 3 different monkeys is a bit much
