ansuman
The game becomes very static after the first year, we should have new mechanics added on completion of each year. Many mechanics are ideas taken from don't starve hamlet From year 2 onwards, hounds can inflict infection, spiders poison and bats diseases. And subsequently different survival items to mitigate them few obtainable from ocean, farming and trading. Diseases and poison can spread among the beefalo, deers and volt goats and above items are needed to save our herds too. Swamp and few other biomed get flooded and only full body protection can mitigate the wetness effects Snow doesn't meltaway immediately and lasts 10 more days in some of the biomes and stops resource growth unless used salt or fire to melt away. Every once in a while fatigue sets in and can be removed by sleeping. Birds and seeds are not free and we need to have 2-3 per biome bird nests built on trees for birds to appear. Scarecrow needs to be put around crops and berries to protect crops from crows. Pogs appear and steal items from ground including items not considered by moleworms and pengulls. They stash the item in random trees. Flowers starts spawing bugs instead of butterflies. Any non-spring season can have drought which makes crop grow at 25% rate unless we have sprinklers After 70% of boulders have been cleared iron starts to spawn, and older stone and gold tools have 25% chance to break with world changing events such as deeper rooted, hardwood trees Mant mounds start to appear and start destroying the trees and eating the logs
