marshyds
Atlantis! - Atlantis is an oceanic area, which resembles the archives. [Discovering/hunting] - In order to find atlantis, you must first activate the Archives in the caves. After that it will partially rise and permanently stay that way, even if you deactivate the archives. It can be found anywhere in the world's oceans post-archives. [Dangers] - The area is filled to the brim with ruined atlantian debris, which takes a while to mine, making the area dangerous to travel in. In addition to that, several pesky drones patrol the area. [Pesky drones!] - These drones do not listen to reason, and will attack you or your boat! Scary! - Sentryfish - STATS: HP - 500 DMG - 35 BOAT DMG - 5 SPD - 6, swimming only. - The sentryfish patrols around a specific circle in atlantis. These swimming robots will swim to your boat and cause a splash! The splash slightly knocks back your boat but can cause it to bump into the various atlantis debris. Atlantis can have 5 sentryfish MAX. Getting hit by the splash will increase wetness by 50 and deal 35 damage to the survivor. To defeat them, you should try using an anchor, these robots must wind up again for 2-3 seconds before attacking again, so you can get in a few hits. DROPS: One of these: [Frazzled wires] x 1 [Thulecite fragments] x 1 [Moonrock] x 1 - When defeated, the sentryfish's husk will fall in the water and automatically reanimate after 5 days. The husk can be bumped around with a boat. - Jellydrone - STATS: HP - 350 DMG - 50 SPD - 6 - The Jellydrone patrols a circle similarly to the jellydrone. The jellydrone will fly above the survivor's head and attempt to electrocute them with lightning! The electrocution has a 0.5 second delay and the animation plays for 1 second, so you have time to move away and punch it. Atlantis can have 5 jellydrones MAX. WX87 recieves 25% less damage with no lightning bonus. A thunder rod on the boat will reduce damage by a further 25%. Wet players recieve up to 100% more damage depending on wetness. Sentryfish and Jellydrones make for a deadly team, as the sentryfish will splash the player. DROPS: One of these: [Frazzled wires] x 1 [Thulecite fragments] x 1 [Moonrock] x 1 - When defeated, The jellydrone does the same routine as the sentryfish. [New boss?!] - The WARDEN - [Hunting] - In the middle of atlantis you can find a giant husk laying around near 3 generators. These generators must be repaired if you wish to fight The warden, GENERATOR REPAIRING: [Thulecite fragment] x 5 [Moonrock] x 5 [Frazzled wires] x 5 [Spark ark] x 1 - You can either bring the materials with you or kill the drones on the spot for the materials, all but the spark ark. Once repaired, all the generators must be turned on before the fight can begin. If all 3 are activated, then the husk will rise up and start attacking you. - THE FIGHT - STATS: HP - 6500 ATK - 200 (100 to player) SPD - 5 - The Boss will attach it's pincers to your boat, electrocuting anyone standing on it. You should bring multiple boats to hop between them. The electrocution deals 100 damage to the player, 25 to the boat and causes 1 leak or 1 boat patch to pop out. Lightning rods will reduce electrocution damage by 10% and WX87 absorbs 10% of the damage. The warden electrocutes anyone attacking it with physical damage for 50 damage, so you must dismantle the generators before fighting it head on. When the generators are destroyed the Boss will reach phase 2. STATS PHASE 2: HP - 6500 DMG - 50 SPD - 5 - The warden will call in 2 of each drone for help. The warden will repeat it's pattern much faster. When defeated, the Warden will sink into the deep and resurface in 35 days. DROPS: [Archive battery] x 6 [Frazzled wires] x 3 [Thulecite fragment] x 6-9 [Blue gem] x 2 - GENERATOR - STATS: HP - 24 strikes from a pickaxe or hammer. - Knocks back people dismantling it like Ryftstals, making brightshade smashers a wise option. Gunpowder deals 2 strikes each. [ARCHIVE BATTERY CRAFTS] - Generator addon - [Archive battery] x 1 [Thulecite] x 3 - The generator addon, when attached to a Winona generator, permanently keeps it charged. This allows for machines to always be active. - Shocky stick - [Morning star] x 1 [Archive battery] x 1 [Twig] x 1 (yes, the stick is required.) [Iridescent gem] x 1 - The shocky stick deals a base 50 damage when at 0% power. It can be fueled with Moongleams, which add 20% power each. When at full power, the shocky stick deals a grand total of 125 damage. The power depletes 2%/second, so fuel it BEFORE a fight. The shocky stick deals 25% extra damage to any wet enemy. The weapon cannot break. [MY THOUGHTS] This concept came to me when i thought of the lunar island affecting the caves below it. So i thought "What if the archives below affected the ocean above?" The point of this is to add a LITTLE more to do in the ocean, while also adding a powerful weapon to make going there worth it. In general i think the archives could have a little more to it. I know about the ominous portal, but more ocean content never hurt anyone besides the beetle population. Thanks for reading!
