Merek Posted December 11, 2023 Share Posted December 11, 2023 I've tried hatching tallbird eggs and lavae eggs multiple times (even tried all different seasons) now but the hatching proccess won't start for some reason. I place the eggs near a lit fire pit and wait for 10-15 minutes but nothing happens. Does anyone know how to get it to work? Thanks in advance! Do you have any mods installed that might mess with the behavior of things? Something interesting I noticed today was when I put an egg close to a lit fire pit and then quit the world and booted it up again the hatching process starts but the egg never hatches. The state of the egg seems to update every time I reboot the world. I had an egg close to a fire, rebooted and the hatching process started. I waited a few minutes then rebooted again and the egg updated to overheating. I will go through all the mods I currently have enabled and see if it might be one or more mods causing the issue and post an update. I just tried it myself and couldn't get the egg to start hatching either. Seems you found a bug! And I've played a ton of ark and was seriously starting to think they needed to be fertilized at one point since I haven't played in years. Primalflower Posted December 18, 2023 Share Posted December 18, 2023 I've coincidentally hatched both lavae eggs and tallbird eggs during this beta. I had no issues there. This means that your issue is likely something that has occurred during the 1 or 2 patches, if it is a bug. Spoiler <-- me hatching tallbird eggs on December 10th, 2023.
