Renewable Beefalos

Recommended Posts

Although Beefalos have never went extinct in my world unlike Volt Goats (I wonder why) I have seen entire herds of Beefalos being massacred by Bosses (and maybe frogs)

And recently I’ve even found just a herd of Beefalo loot on the ground next to some Deadly Brightshades where the problem must have been that the Beefalos were in mating season and they got slaughtered OFF-SCREEN! I’m not sure if that’s even possible but it happened

So Beefalo extinction is VERY real and there are basically no downsides to making them renewable this way, although to not have unwanted Beefalo herds popping up in everyone’s world they should make it so they only have a chance to spawn if the hunt ends in a savanna and maybe if the total number of un-domesticated beefalos present in the world (caves excluded) is less then maybe like 5 or 8 (just maybe)

One way to guranteed the survival of these majestic yet smelly animals is by making them subterranean, funnily enough. Bring a beef into the caves to populate down there is one way to insure nothing can wipe them out.
