Under the radar weak points in Wigfrid's skill tree no one is really talking about, but also, my experience with Warrior's Reprise

Recommended Posts

The shadow and lunar alignment songs as Wigfrid are really weak. The discussion on it has died. It's not really worth singing those tunes.

I did share some ideas I had with them, but they were buried a bit deep into the threads, but my suggestion for the shadow song, while controversial, I think is a good perk regardless where if sung, nightmare creatures would not affect combatants under the influence of the song.

To add, with Warrior's Reprise, while playing with others, I literally must beg other players to die so I can use it.

The down time when trying to fill inspiration to revive a player takes a good while.

It's actually not as overpowered as the theory may lead you to believe. With coordination, you can make things work well, but it's one of these things where Klei should have had at least one server per region for beta's to stress test these.

I think, technically, the revive song is OP. On paper it's powerful. The thing is, if you have a group of players who are even half competent at this game you will very likely not need the revive song. And if you're alone, where you're most likely to die, then it does nothing for you.

Her affinity perks are nowhere near as cool or satisfying as Willow's. I think your suggestion is a good one. Maybe even just a good start?

I really think Wigfrid is in a tough spot. She's already so powerful, there isn't much room to boost her in the tree. I mean she heals sanity AND health while hitting enemies lol. It's why I was kind of hoping they'd explore passives or utility oriented perks more than they did. Like maybe some meat smoker that mass produced jerky. A beefalo stable that buffs their domestication and/or allows customization that buffs them. Let me armor my beef lol. Something like that.

In my world, it's all but unnecessary. I have a very formidable jerky setup, it's just that jerky hasn't a place in the bearger bin.

Having jerky in the bearger bin would be a significant boon for wigfrid.

I agree she's already powerful. It's the small things that are underwhelming. It's kind of ok to be underwhelming, but the affinity skill? Those have been game changers for most characters. And on wigfrid is a pretty little song.

A cool trick that I do is to have a whole bunch of meat either in the salt box or bundling wrap.

Then I place all of the meat in the drying rack at the same time based on the type of meat so all of them are dried at the same time.

Now you can cook all your food at the highest freshness possible at once. I do bacon n eggs for the highest spoil time, and it only costs meat.

So jerky can technically go in the bearger bin

Yeah I would argue that wormwoods affinities are better even. And hes not a fighter

She does have a skill that replaces stingers needing inspiration to being on a cooldown - I think that is what the intention of using warrior's reprise is in the first place, to use it in combination with that skill.

The Fighting Words skill removes the inspiration cost of stingers. It does not remove the inspiration requirement if that makes sense. Normally, to activate warrior's reprise, you need 50 inspiration and activating the stinger consumes 50 inspiration. If you have Fighting Words, you still need 50 inspiration, but it does not consume any to activate.
