These are the only 2 mobs in the game for which we know the official values of HP for solo ( Not counting the creatures that were in the DS )

This is just probably copy pasting health values of Werepig and Beefalo respectively

Werepig have x1.5 modificator.
And these are the only 2 creatures that have the inscription "harder for multiplayer'

It's not like copying. For many formulas of creatures with DS modifiers would have other creatures.  The same Antillion does not have a copy. Although they could copy the Bearger values

Something strange...

True. It should be copying volt goat, it is 300 * 2 in the code.

The phrase"harder for multiplayer" have 31 matches in tunning.lua, unless you're specifically referring to DST exclusive mobs.

29 these are creatures of DS.
2 DST creatures
It is strange that only 2

the grass gator one was obviously copypasted from beefalo, and Deer were added at a time when people were still unsure if DS and DST would keep getting simultaneously updated, it's likely that Klei still hadn't discarded the possibility of porting the ANR content over to DS once the update chain ended (and in a way, the DS QOL update did port a little bit of that content), but now we know very well that this never ended up being the case so you're just overthinking this

Say. What should I think about ?

DS 2 Bingus...

I am sorry though in all fairness mate, I know i've joked around a bit - It's unfortunate that more of DST isn't in the game, however there are for sure things i'd love to be ported to DST. Maybe if/when we ever get Shipwrecked/Hamlet outside of mods it'd feel a bit more towards what you're looking for, but I do understand your issue in principle.

I guess to you you purchased something and it feels a little annoying that Klei could give off the impression that they have moved on to what is basically the same game but 2.0, and that you have had to buy a second attempt at the initial idea of DS. I completely get that the games feel quite different and I do miss my old gameplay loop from single player, I loved starting in SW, taking over an island, completely redesign it, go to ROG, set up a little base, go to Hamlet, bring things back to my island (Or ROG, it's been so long I can't remember if you can't move certain things completely to SW but i remember moving things somewhere.) I found it really cute basing in Hamlet, I really enjoy the dynamic of BFB (I think is the name?) .... I really miss cutting hedges :( and Coffee would be such a nice item to port over imo (We have so many sources of movespeed I don't think it'd be the worst idea, although I completely get that it makes magi a bit less optimal)

Truthfully aswell, please don't view the modding community as being separate from the core game design from Klei, they're obviously very happy that we edit the game and I think this is one of the games strengths (On PC of course). I'd prefer if some mods were part of the base game but I know that some people don't like Combined Status for example, some people quite like the 'not knowing the specifics' element as it adds a level of difficulty that kinda makes things a bit spicy :p

I just don't like DST. I would like content updates for DS or DS 2.
And DST is just a game to fantasize about what its content would be in DS.

I played the game for many hours and touched almost all the content except the latest updates, but it didn't bring anywhere near as much fun as DS.

I think that all the multiplayer changes to the mechanics that were in the DS very much spoil the fun of the game ( Except for armor stack. )
Survival is too easy, the game is too unbalanced, the atmosphere of loneliness and a gloomy world has been lost (This is very noticeable in caves and ruins)

The game is  ... It's not interesting, but there are interesting things in it that could give DS a very important - late game

Klei advertise DST as a multiplayer game.
Players say that this is a good solo game and at least better DS because of the exclusive content.

Probably I was waiting in vain for the multiplayer game to have the same interesting gameplay in solo as in its singleplayer brother.

And to move between worlds in DS... It's so bad... 99% of Hamlet and Shipwrecked are alternative RoG resources that you just don't need... or resources that are only useful in this DLC's.
Shipwrecked and Hamlet don't do what DST does.
They do not add new biomes to the ocean, on the surface, in caves, ruins in the RoG world, but only add smaller worlds.

During the time you live 100 days in RoG, you will already get stability, kill seasonal bosses, get cool things from the ruins and you have nothing to do...

Go to other DLC's? In order to bring useful resources to the RoG? And why, if there are no chellenges left in RoG...
kill bosses? Why if you got the boss items in the RoG.  The only boss that gives a very good thing for RoG is Ancient Herald, but why do you need such a strong armor if you killed all the bosses and overcame the ruins...

In Shipwrecked and Hamlet, it's interesting to survive from scratch...Although they are smaller than RoG...

In Shipwrecked and Hamlet, it would be useful to swim in Together.
You have 16 exclusive bosses, Hermit and Wagstaff quests, Ocean, New biomes, Shadow and Lunar rifts (And this content will be in and there will be more and more exclusive challenges...)
And Klei would update the content in the empty worlds of Shipwrecked and Hamlet...

I don't like mods... I just don't want to play with them.
Uncompromissing Mode looks cool but it's for DST...

They give me what I don't want.
But other interesting mods... Mods trying to make DST look like DS, but there are so very few of them , most of them work poorly , and the one that remains works not work...

Automatic Health Adjust is a good mod, but it is not official and does not give the balance of hp for solo, which Klei would do ...
To make DST an interesting solo game, you need more than a decrease in HP from creatures...

Now i can only... Wait...

Revival of DS

Or DS 2

Or Final update of the DST

Or something else...

dst is ds 2 though?

No. DST it's standalone multiplayer expansion of Don't Starve and always will be.

If that's what you want, consider me waiting for DS 3 or DS singleplayer 2

I don't have fun exploring Shipwrecked and Hamlet if I don't have the motivation to bring resources to RoG.

It's very annoying that all you can do after 100 days is build a pretty base for 1000 days.
And surviving in Shipwrecked and Hamlet is much more interesting and killing bosses gives a useful loot, because you don't have a RoG mega thulecite base

Late game DST is a treasure that lacks DS.
