Russmaster2299 Posted October 30, 2023 Share Posted October 30, 2023 I think removing Koalaphants (and Volt Goats) from hunts entirely once the Lunar Rifts activate is a bit much. I know Volt Goats can repopulate if you pen one, but if something happens to it, you can't use a hunt to try and get one back. I also just like Koalaphants, and I don't like the idea that you'll never be able to get more if you start the Lunar Rifts. You entirely lose out on big meat sacks, Koalaphant trunks, Puffy and Breezy vests, and a pet if something happens. At least bring in a way to spawn more? I also really want a way to tame and ride Koalaphants, but that's beside the point. ShadowbirdRH Posted October 30, 2023 Share Posted October 30, 2023 I'm pretty sure you're mistaken. At least, I sure hope you are, because that would indeed be absolutely terrible. From what I've read, even after activating the lunar rifts, normal suspicious dirt piles still appear which lead to the usual creatures. The clawed dirt piles only appear when there's something nasty at the end, not always. IIRC, I have encountered clawed piles in my world, but thus far I've only activated the shadow rifts. I've still encountered Koalefants, and one clawed dirt pile I followed lead me to an Ewecus with a couple pieces of meat on the ground. Wolfgang gang Posted November 5, 2023 Share Posted November 5, 2023 I think having herds of them would be super op so here is my suggestion to that: make koalefants a mutated beefalo, here is how it would work. When beefalos are in heat they spawn child beefalos, so why not make it like a 1% change to be a koalefant that can be tamed instead of becaming a child beefalo when there are rifts open. And that we can ride them when we tame them. And that they could deal 65 damage instead of the normal 50 damage they can deal, and make it that they get effected by speed buffs such as the Magiluminescence or the walking cane, they would add up to the speed of the koalefant. Aka a buffed up beefalo. Wth i feel like i am a klei developer.
