Jakepeng99
Make character modifiers (Wolfgang's, Wigfrid's, Wendy's, Wes's and Wanda's) effect planar damage. The way it is handled currently, is rather messy since they will be handled in skill trees like Wolfgang. Wolfgang has 5 skills which only have the purpose to make planar weapons even for him. If he did not have this skill, and instead had his double damage apply to planar damage then he would be the same as without the skill and without the weird design of his planar damage skills. Handling them in skill trees this way is not the best direction. The shadow reaper would also be good for Wanda, offering an optional break from the alarming clock. Overall the way it is being handled for combat characters is rather clunky. _zwb
The point of planar damage is that it is not effected by character damage modifiers, just make a post about removing planar damage instead Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/152048-suggestion-for-how-to-handle-planar-damage/#findComment-1675602 Share on other sites

Let me remind you that Woodie also got a Planar damage boost in his skill tree. Wolfgang got an entire skill tree branch because he was already a good character and he only needed a small boost for the endgame Planar content. Thats it. Considering that How combat heavy the endgame content is, Making Planar damage effected by character damage modifiers would create more balance problems.(At least in my opinion.) Gashzer
Gonna copy an paste my response from the wanda skill tree vote topic: "A straight up planar damage boosting skillset suits Wolfgang as a simple character with simple to understand damage boosts and simple downsides. Its good to have simple characters. But wanda is not a simple character an deserves a much more elegant solution that could take the form of a new clock. I suggest a ranged planar clock weapon that works like the boomerrang however when it comes back to you if you time another attack as it returns, you launch it back at the mob but with increased damage, the more times you successfully do this the stronger the clock gets. Imagine it like reflecting the magic ball in the link vs ganondorf fight in ocarina of time." I Would love to see a skill that lets Wanda refuel her alarming clock with Pure Horror to let her replace some of her damage with Planar damage for a certain amount of time. Cassielu
Oh. But that is precisely part of its purposes. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/152048-suggestion-for-how-to-handle-planar-damage/#findComment-1675608 Share on other sites

Yeah but why rehash an old weapon when we can get a completely new one with different functionality? Straight up skills to boost planar damage of already existing weapons are boring an uncreative solutions. Lets get more creative guys Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/152048-suggestion-for-how-to-handle-planar-damage/#findComment-1675610 Share on other sites

The point of planar damage is to be used against enemies with planar damage instead of just making stronger and stronger weapons. 3 hours ago, Cassielu said: Oh. But that is precisely part of its purposes. If they are just going to take it away just to give it back like with Wolfgang, it is a pointless purpouse. 3 hours ago, mkemal23 said: Let me remind you that Woodie also got a Planar damage boost in his skill tree.
