CuteC Posted October 28, 2023 Share Posted October 28, 2023 I dunno, I just thought about it and it could be a neat thing, the entire day is just dark, could have some special stuff like full moon does or maybe even exclusive enemies like the moon storms. Perhaps it could have some stuff from the aporkalypse, though I am not exactly familiar with it I do remember there were big bats spawning frequently, not herald though, that thing is not allowed anywhere near this game. Surely I am not the first person to suggest this, so I'm bringing this up once again (possibly). I don't think it should follow a cycle though, perhaps have a small chance of happening daily after some point in the game, depending on how harsh it would be, or it could be getting harsher as you progress, say, it's mostly just darkness and special stuff prerift and postrift it gets more aggressive. And we technically do have an entire day of darkness, just not in the surface world, but in the cave. I think darkness is not a particularly interesting mechanic to DST in particular, but it can be possibly utilized to create an atmosphere for certain bosses. Okay but this is about the surface and complete darkness, not caves and no brightness shenanigans. Darkness killing you kinda is like one of the main dst things so it absolutely should be interesting, either way I said there could be some special things happening during a solar eclipse just like full moon, obviously not the exact same stuff.
