Please remove an Ocuvigil effect of the Ice Crystaleyezer

Recommended Posts

Please remove an Ocuvigil effect(Reveals the for of war in the area around it) of the Ice Crystaleyezer or at least provide an option to disable this effect. When this effect is activated in places in summer, farm and a logging area where it's suitable to place Ice Crystaleyezer, it causes significant lag due to the numerous falling crops and trees. Please, eliminate this effect or create a setting to turn off this effect.

From what I'm gathering, Ocu's don't actually load the map or area they're in, rather, they just update the map.
I haven't checked, but I'd assume the Ice Crystaleyezer's effect would be the same, mechanically.

I don't believe this should have any, or at least any significant impact on performance. I may need to look into it a bit more, though.

No, there are huge lags. It is meaningless to do it when the specifications are sufficient. When the specifications are borderline (for example, if the server is Megabase or the computer has low specs), you will notice a significant difference. When doing tasks like logging or farming without the ice Crystaleyezer, compare it to a control group without it, and you will definitely feel the impact, especially when there are more players in server. Ultimately, this kind of mechanism can only lead to lag. It's not just a simple map update. An even more extreme but similar example would be the minimap mod or global position etc.
