attune to touchstones

In solo ds you can attune to touchstones.

Because there is no haunting mechanic. You basically activate/fix the touchstone before you can use it and its still a one-time use.

that is a separate thing

its called a touchstone for a reason

That be good, specially for people that are trying to emulate the original ds permadeath dread. Currently if we set the world reset timer after death to instant, we can't use touchstones to revive bc of the need to haunt them.

Then attune with an effigy? It doesn't lower max health here. Touchstones are just completely different for together, same as the red amulets. In solo you'd have to be wearing it upon death to use it for revival

I like the idea of classic DS death / revival.  Attune to a touch stone, build a meat effigy, or wear an LGA.  Maybe repurpose Telltale Hearts as an item you use when alive to turn into a ghost, and back when you're done.

You touch it when attuning it.

If it works for meat effigy, then why not touchstones?

Effigys are a different thing, don't gaslight the subject.

Making the touchstone just like an effigy is just :wilson_confused:
Touchstones, Effigy, LGA are different mechanics of revival that exist in both versions. I don't see a reason to overlap their functions and still call them a different thing.

Calling me off for gaslighting the topic when I answered the title question on the first reply....

touch stones did work like effigies before

it got changed in DST for the haunting mechanic

why not both? you can attune to it or haunt it if you haven't already

should work either way, it's one time revival after all

What is saving a walk to a touchstone causing thats a problem? You would still be able to haunt it like normal.

Touch stone revives the exact same way as the amulet, that is not a problem for the same reasons.
