Just throwing a random idea

When rifts activate, do they mess with the oppose rift? like, the main "territory" of the lunar rift is the surface (and the shadow rift is the caves). But, dont they oppose each other? wouldnt they try to conquer the "enemy" territory?

So thinking about it, from the idea where the lunar/shadow will try to conquer each other territories, there could be some interaction, like, when there is a active lunar rift on the surface, and a earthquake happens, a gestalt could fall with the debris, and search for something to parasite/mutate.

While in the other hand, shadow rift could send some kind of new shadow through the cave entrance to bother players in surface, maybe even make players have 3 shadow creatures following them after the rift is active. Charlie wont like players helping wagstaff, it would make sense (?) that she would send shadows to sabotage players engaging in wagstaff tasks.
