fabin
hi, i've made like 2 skill tree concepts by now, and with so much free time on my hands, i decided to conceptualize another skill tree :) winona always struck me as a boring character. there isn't too much that she does and her buildings only allow you do to like 2 cool things. maybe i'm just not cut out for playing winona, but the goal was to make her be more like an on-hand type of character and generally more fun. i had a lotta fun making this so i drew some little concept sketches too, hope ya enjoy it Engineering Branch Spoiler A - Trusty Wrench Learn how to craft a Trusty Wrench. Tinker with your contraptions and gadgets. While holding it in hand, turn Generators on or off, slowly repair structures and contraptions, or tinker with a Compass to turn it into a Contraption Controller. - Made with 1 Trusty Tape, 2 Flint and 2 Rock. - Repairing puts you in a stationary mode, where you will repair any contraption's HP by 20/s. Left Click action. - Contraption Controller lets you control contraptions manually. Pair it to a contraption while holding it in hand. Trying to attack while holding it will instead direct your contraptions to whatever you're trying to attack. | While controlling contraptions, they won't fire automatically, and if there are any more in a 2 Tile Radius around the paired one they will be automatically paired up the Controller. | Contraptions when being controlled fire 25% faster. - Generators that are turned off cannot be turned on by anyone other than Winona herself. They also don't power any contraptions and don't consume power. B1 - Winona's Slingbolt I Learn how to build Winona's Slingbolt. Shoots a highly damaging and piercing bolt at foes. Can be paired to a Contraption Controller. - Built with 2 Trusty Tapes, 10 Stingers and 3 Boards. - Has 600 HP, fires a little less than half of the speed of a catapult, but consumes twice as much power. - Bolts deal 85 damage and pierces enemies. Pierces through 2 enemies, with each pierce halving it's damage. B2 - Winona's Slingbolt II Slingbolts will fire 2 extra bolts in an angle alongside the original. Extra bolts deal half as much damage and don't pierce. - The extra bolts deal 42.5 damage. - They fire in a V shape, sorta like a shotgun. B3 - Contraption Specialist Contraptions manually controlled by Winona fire much faster and consume half as much power. - Catapults fire 50% faster and Slingbolts fire 125% faster. - These do not stack with the Contraption Controller bonus and instead is a straight upgrade. C1 - Winona's Powerline I Learn how to build a Powerpole. Allows you to transfer energy over long distance. Can be tinkered with to upgrade its connection range. Learn how to craft Electrical Wires. Lets you connect Powerpoles to Winona's Contraptions and Generators. - Powerpoles are built with 1 Trusty Tape, 2 Logs and 1 Gold. - Eletrical Wires are made with 5 Trusty Tapes and 5 Gold. Gives 10 per craft. - Transfers energy from generators to contraptions slowly. | Each Powerpole adds 1 second of delay when first powering a contraption. When they are powered though it's a constant stream, so they remain powered as normal until connection is severed or energy runs out. - Powerpoles have a big connection range. Can be tinkered to upgrade the connection range between Powerpoles. (Costs 2 Logs and 3 Gold, 50% range increase) | Powerpoles don't connect to generators or contraptions automatically like a generator would, requiring you to connect them using Electrical Wires. C2 - Winona's Powerline II Learn how to build Winona's Energy B.A.T.tery. - Built with 2 Trusty Tape, 4 Boards and 8 Bat Wings. - When connected to a Powerpole network with a Generator it will syphon any energy into it, storing it permanently until energy is being consumed. - A battery stores up to 24 days of energy in itself, and only drains energy when contraptions are active, when it's raining or when the world is wet. C3 - Potato Power Learn how to build Winona's T.U.B.E.R.ator. Generates power from potatoes. Can be tinkered with to accept Above-Average Sized Spuds. - Built with 1 Trusty Tape, 4 Logs and 3 Gold. - A little less efficient than Winona's Generator, but very cheap to operate with. (Stores a max of half a day of energy) - Can give extra potatoes for more power, will visually show on the generator as more potatoes. (Each potato adds 0.125 days of energy, 4 potatoes max) - Tinkering will change it from a normal T.U.B.E.R.ator to a giant T.U.B.E.R.ator. Operates only with giant potatoes and lasts 3x as long as a fully powered G.E.M.erator. (Stores a max of 18 days of energy) D1 - Winona's Clawmatic I Learn how to build Winona's Clawmatic. Picks nearby stuff from the ground or collects stuff around it. Can be tinkered with to change between Collection and Gathering. - Built with 1 Trusty Tape, 4 Boards and 5 Stingers. - Picks stuff from the ground and puts it in the nearest chest. Tinkering with it changes it to collect mode, where it will collect nearby stuff instead. | Prioritizes storing an item in hand over picking another one. So the average time for collecting and storing in total is about 1.5 seconds. - Picking/Gathering range is 1.2 Tiles, consumes a minuscule amount of power when picking stuff. D2 - Winona's Clawmatic II Clawmatics will pick up multiple items at a time and have longer reach. - Picks and Gathers in a 0.2 Tile AOE. Picks up 9 items at once. - Picking/Gathering range is now 2 Tiles. D3 - Clawmatic Master Tinker with a Clawmatic to change it to action mode. In this mode Clawmatics can be given a tool, which it'll use when possible. - Acceptable tools are: Axes, Pickaxes, Shovels, Hammers, Gardening Hoes and Watering Cans. - Tools last half as long as they would if in the player's hands, but work at twice the efficiency. | An axe would chop the same amount of trees, but each Tall Tree would take 7 swings instead of 15. - When given a Hammer it will not hammer player-built structures, but will hammer things like Giant Crops and Shell Bells. - Gardening Hoes and Watering Cans are only used when possible. | A Garden Hoe Clawmatic will always try to till 9 spots in a tile if reachable, and a Watering Can one will only water when a tile is dry. - Consumes a little more than picking up stuff. L1 - Lock Spend at least 6 Insight in the Engineering Branch. E1 - Gadjet Spotlight I Spotlights have a bigger light radius and lights up the direction a Boat is heading when on one. Can be paired to a Contraption Controller. Can be tinkered with to be upgraded to a Floodlight. - Light radius is increased by 50%, and when placed on boats it'll light up the direction the boat is going, depending on it's speed. (More speed = Light goes farther) - Tinkering with it will upgrade it to a Floodlight, which has less range but lights up a cone of light in the direction of a player, or where the boat is heading. (1 Board, 6 Lightbulbs and 1 Electrical Doodad) E2 - Gadjet Spotlight II Make triple the Trusty Tapes per craft. Can repair tools and equipment once. - Make 3 per craft. - Equipment repair increases durability by 50% of the max durability once. E3 - Gadjet Spotlight III Generators produce 1-2 Nitre when completely drained after being fully powered. G.E.M.erators have a 10% chance to return one gem when completely drained after being fully powered. F1 - Engineering I Repair contraptions much faster when using a Trusty Wrench. - Repair amount is now 50 HP/s. F2 - Engineering II Use a Trusty Wrench to smack a contraption to give it a little boost. - Hitting a contraption will make it 100% faster for 2 seconds. Works for the Clawmatic. F3 - Engineering III Use a Trusty wrench to fix burnt structures up. Contraptions take less fire damage and are a little more resistant. - Fix burnt structures for a third of the materials it was made with. - Contraptions have 25% defense. L2 - Lock Spend at least 9 Insight in the Engineering Branch. G - Dazzling Wrench Learn how to upgrade your Trusty Wrench into a Dazzling Wrench. It can Shovel, Chop and Mine. Also lasts a long time! ...but it's a little inefficient. - Made with a Trusty Wrench, 3 Trusty Tape, 6 Gold. - Has 272 Chop uses, 112 Pick uses, 75 Shovel uses. Deals 51 damage a hit. - It's 15% less efficient at everything. (18 Chops to fell a Tall Tree and 7 Picks to mine a boulder, always rounds up) - Returns a Trusty Wrench when broken. Can be given to a Clawmatic if the Clawmatic Master perk is active. Handiwork Branch Spoiler A1 - Prime Craftsmanship I Tools crafted by Winona have an extra 10% durability. | An axe that has 100 durability would instead have 110 durability if crafted by Winona. A2 - Prime Craftsmanship II Tools crafted by Winona have an extra 25% durability. | An axe that has 100 durability would instead have 125 durability if crafted by Winona. A3 - Prime Craftsmanship III Tools crafted by Winona have an extra 50% durability. | An axe that has 100 durability would instead have 150 durability if crafted by Winona. B1 - Efficient Worker I Tools used by Winona are 15% more efficient. B2 - Efficient Worker II Tools used by Winona are 25% more efficient. B3 - Efficient Worker III Tools used by Winona are 30% more efficient. L - Lock Spend at least 3 Insight in the Handiwork Branch. C - Employee of the Constant Lose less hunger when crafting and craft a little faster when hungry. Work up to 50% faster when not hungry. - Lose 2.5 Hunger when crafting - Crafting speed reduction maxes out at 25%. - Work speed scales with hunger, sort of like pre-rework wolfang's damage multiplier. Affinity Branch Spoiler S - Shadow Engineer Contraptions work twice as fast when shrouded by darkness and deal shadow aligned planar damage. Learn how to dodge Charlie more than once and how to work faster in the dark. - Converts the damages fully into shadow aligned planar damage. (I.E: Slingbolts deal 85 single target planar damage and Catapults deal 42.5 AOE planar damage) - Can dodge Charlie 3 times now, 100% work speed bonus when in the dark. L - Lunar Architect Contraptions have 50% more HP, 30% defense and +10 planar defense. Learn how socket Iridescent Gems into any generator, automatically recharging it depending on the moon's cycle. - On a full moon a generator charges up fully and does not drain until it's not a full moon. - Charging speed gets faster/slower depending on where the cycle is. - Does not work when it's a new moon. - Defense stacks with the Engineering III perk. that's it, that's the skill tree. hopefully it gives winona a little more to play with, and more incentive to play her for reals, instead of switching to and from her. if you're interested on my bad syndrome vision for these concepts, i made some little sketches below let me know what you guys think, feedback would be greatly appreciated Spoiler slingbolt dazzling wrench potato generator claw battery power pole Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/150872-winona-skill-tree-concept-from-a-guy-that-has-played-like-2-hours-of-winona/ Share on other sites
