Maybe wild ones would grow in random directions but ones planted by dupes could be directed to grow in a certain way. I`d love a new biome type where you could use the vines instead of building stairs. Maybe a biome with marble and metamorphic rocks since we lack those in the game. So it's a decore plant type. Plant it in a pot or the ground and it covers nearby ladders.
