Carrat perk is so nice.

Recommended Posts

Carrats are veri gud at what they do

It's so nice I wouldn't even bat an eye if other light bug and saladmanders perks were replacing by perks that expand on carrat further like, carrat picking up what you just chopped/mined/killed, not just food but only the materials that have popped out around you recently.

Carrat was nice to get seeds fast without losing much time on running circles after birds dropping them randomly. Made it easier to get meat from spiders before others eat it. Got it from unsafe swamp spots. Made harvesting giants muuuch better.  (and that's really that matters in this game most of the time, saving time)

Bugs and Saladmanders

For early game I'd rather keep health than use bugs and lil into early game use lantern instead, didn't feel they're saving much time. Can't say much bad or good about them, but they feel like they're just there. Noticed even less need for them in winter since thermal protects from charlie and ofc you need fire like setting up a tree on fire to farm the stone up.
Saladmanders get wiped fast against bosses except dfly and maybe crab king, even a wimp like deerclops will freeze them over and over until they die, eye of terror will leave them in the dust taking out precious DPS and hitting both at once. I'd save 50 health health by fighting with husk rather than summoning them, they seem for flair mostly now also getting dragonfruits might be quite a hustle due to rng. Now that husk releases spikes it's even easier to forget about using saladmanders for wimps like spiders.

Again carrats are nice :encouragement:

Also noticed a thing, all perks generally considered good have common result, they save time in some way. Just look at average woodie's tree and think of ways each perk chosen speeds things up.
