JosePapp Posted August 2, 2023 Share Posted August 2, 2023 I feel like Malbatross is WAAAAAY too rare to be a nuisance to the point where you could even consider him something akin to a legendary Pokemon. It would be nice if he had a small percentage of appearing similar to rockjaws, skittersquids or perhaps more fittingly tiger shark whenever you're sailing around. Be it because you sailed by a shore, fished around or like, every time you row. On another topic it would be cool if gnarwhails and especially rockjaws got spawners across the sea and better loot/more uses for their loot. I'm aware he spawns in those, but that's exactly my point. That's too specific and rare, I don't think he's designed to be on the same category as bosses like Klaus and is closer to someone like antlion. lowercase skye Posted August 2, 2023 Share Posted August 2, 2023 The Malbatross is absolutely supposed to be a boss that you seek out, not a periodic threat like rockjaws. Its drops are REALLY amazing for ocean-travel/exploration (the Malbatross bill is absolutely insane for rowing) and the boss fight itself is basically just a check for if you have an anchor. Finding a shoal and getting it angry at you is pretty much the whole challenge! Malbatross being like a legendary pokemon is cool, Malbatross is a good boss currently, just that the ocean is not good enough for it's drops to be used much. The ocran does not go so far off from land, it is just a large circle. I would like if the ocean was larger and with more stuff. My only complaint is the boss destroying sails. If you randomoy find it and have a sail boat, you need to bring an extra pancake.
