Skhalla
Hello everyone! I was thinking about nice new block type(s), that may add more flavour to the game (even the base one). The idea is as follows: - New slope type of block, this could be either just a plain triangle shape, or curved. - This could add: - flexible/interesting room shapes. - possible new ways fluids could be fuelled, without having blobs remaining. - dupes would not be able to climb these, and would work as a slide. - New stair type of block, similar to the one above, except this would be the ones dupes could use to travel in a diagonal way. Sure these may not be the most space efficient ways to travel, but would be something interesting I think. - Connected to the idea above, with custom curved surfaces/blocks, it would be possible to create lenses from glass, and use the sunshine as a cost efficient way to melt materials placed at its focal points. What do you guys think? Would like to see your thoughts!

Other ideas sound fine, but this one might not work... First of all - the light has no thermal energy, you can't heat anything with it. If that was changed, it could introduce plenty of balance issues... Also, currently light isn't really working with rays, it's more like blobs of tiles that are lighted. Redirecting rays from such a blob would be harder than it sounds. Cool idea and not impossible, but very difficult to make it work like you would like to... Stairs and slides are much easier and in some cases - already proven to work as a mods, so they are much more probable to appear
