Refinments and a few issues with the Reworked Wormwood skill tree

Yes i can not test it yet, but it would be better to point out some of the issues early. Klei did a good job making alot of good changes but there are a few substantial issues i see with the position changes. I will be refering to the new skill tree image that Klei has posted themselves shown below.

The main issue is the positioning of the Blooming and Plant crafting branch. The blooming branch would be much better to be on the same side as the summoning skills, and the Plant branch on the same side as the lunar guardian skills. I have the few reasons, the first is that the Plant crafting is mainly for late game, though a few early game bonuses like lureplants can be useful as an option. It should be on the Guardian side as that is an endgame skill that needs endgame equipment, so it would be better if they were on the same side, as the summoning side works throughout the entire game and synergises with the photosynthesis perk which would now be on the same side. It is better this way as now you have more to pick than just the mushroom skills for pre-riff summoner builds.

Another issue with this positioning is the point balance. Blooming will likely be picked less than the farmhand and bramble branch because of the way it works. The first two skill perks decrease how long it takes for Wormwood to bloom, which is not useful on it's own since the good blooming perks are at the end of the branch. It is harder to mix and match because of this. Switching the blooming branch to the left side, switching places with the Plant crafting should fix this too, at least to an extent since now you have the choice between blooming or mushrooms which is a better balance than choosing between the bramble branch and blooming. And as said before, the blooming perks better fit with the summoning skills since photosynthesis helps you make more.

That is why the Bloom branch should be moved to the left, and the Plant crafting to the right. Thank you for reading and i hope i was clear, i just want to help make the skill tree better. I hope you understand.:love_heart:

 

Edit: Also to anyne who thinks it makes sense for Skills that indirectly effect wormwood to be on the same side, it also makes more sense for their to be an indirect perk on each side aswell and allows more flexability and free choice vs being forced to pick an indirect one for the summoner skills.

Not in gameplay, which should matter more than some flavour. The blooming perks synergise much better with the minions perks, it would be much better to be on the left. You need to spend 5 points on each side to unlock the corrosponding lunar perk.

The way i see it, the blooming section is outclassed by the bramble perks, it would matter if it was on the right side.
