If Klei made a 'new' game modes what would you like to see?

Recommended Posts

2 Worlds: split the main island into two

High Seas: similar to the islands of Shipwrecked (but less), you'll living on boat most of the time

Climate Chaos: all seasons are shorter like Hamlet

Swampy Caves: there's a lot of tenacles, worms and mostly has a not stop rain in the caves below but more valuable loot

Vampire mode: your character is immune to darkness, can leche health/sanity from mobs (like Wigfrid's) and is a monster

but passively lose health/sanity 3.3 per/min (reduce to 2.2 per/min when equipping a umbrella or type of hat) and halved all food value

Wigfrid: leche ability stacks with vampire mode (but is halved)

Wortox: souls are not affected + isn't affected by vampire modes half hunger/sanity/health

This is going to be a controversial & probably unpopular suggestion: but I think Klei should add modes that offer up drastically different ways of playing the game.

Gorge & Forge would be considered different “Modes” for Example.

With that said, a multiplayer game with 6 players has a lot of flexibility, as long as they don’t try to turn the “core game” which is meant to be survival sandbox, into something else.

For example Spelunky 2 has several different “Modes” there is Adventure Mode, there’s a Daily Challenge Mode, and there’s Full blown Battle Modes, even the Battle Modes have different options.

FFA, Team, Battle Royale, LMS.

What Klei effectively has is “Mario Party” 6 friends or random strangers can gather together in this fictional world and from there: the gameplay and story can be whatever the heck they want it to be.

You wanna play survival? Pick survival mode.. you wanna duel with your buddies in pillow fights? Toggle on year of the Rabbit.

O.K. now I want a Don't starve mode in the style of Mario party (N64/GC), maybe Klei could add a fighting/healing/light mechanic

Wurt's Town Square

Wortox's Fiery Underworld

Woodie's Old Cabin

Wicker-bottom's Book Show (like in Mario Party DS)

Webber's Creepy Caverns

Maxwell's Magic Act

Powder-Monkeys Docks
