I think woodie's biggest problem is that he doesn't have any "growth" throughout the game. All his perks stays the same as day 1.

Most of the other characters have special perks can be improved when you progress.WX needs to scan creatures, Wolfgang can build gym later, Wendy's sisturn,Wanda needs ruins to craft her timepieces ect. 

As for woodie, his perks are accessible in day1 and that's all. he gain no improvements, no more craftable things. he can do nothing to improve his abilities. His perks can't even gain benefits from better equipments since he can't use any tool during his wereforms. Not to mention that it's pretty dangerous to use since you back to human with zero hunger and none equipment. It's almost like game is punishing you choosing woodie to progress.Before this beta he didn't have a perk that is good in later game. Yeah he has lucy and chops faster, but this is certainly outshined by Maxwell, when Maxwell have other perks that can be used in later game.

This skill tree update makes his problem exposed: Without skill tree He's good in earlier games and quickly become lame. Now with the curse skills he can be suitable for the later game but very op in day 1. I really really hope he can have anything special that benefits from progressing the game instead of staying exatly the same.

Was it you that suggested on another thread that Woodie should get a separate craft for maximum power 136 3rd hit moose? I'm fine with that. 

I wouldn't mind that, as unideal as it is. 

119 compromises the 6 hit breakpoint of the dragonfly maggots into a 7 hit, which adds up, as dragonfly is the most unbalanced boss in the entire game.
