New eggs and / or new uses for egg.

A few ideas I thought of while musing about various mechanics that could surround eggs.

-An amphibious creature that must have a specific liquid to lay their eggs in.
-As above but instead a creature that buries it's eggs (and maybe all eggs) in a solid (mud, p. mud, sand regolith, dirt, or p. dirt.).

-A creature that doesn't produce much meat but it lays it's eggs in clusters before dying. (Octopus)
-A creature that eats eggs. (Perhaps a lizard or snake.)
(Would offer another option other then omelets or compost.)

-Eggs that don't give egg shell as a resource.
(For instance, plug slugs may have a slime resource component to their eggs instead of shells).

-Eggs that produce a gas that may, or may not be dangerous to itself.
(This creates a focus of resource gathering on egg production and storage instead of as a component of meat production.)

-Eggs as a fertilizer for a plant of some kind.
