Wonurb
I think that some wormwood skills are extremely useless, or that they should be part of his starter kit, or that they should be combined into a single skill, some have no synergy with the character and there is no reason for you to take it and have some that come to be harmful to the character I will try to summarize my opinion of what I think could be a good option 1- the reasons why someone plays Wormwood, there are four types of player first the one who lives in the plantation and takes care of it the whole game without leaving the base, the second one who likes a challenge and plays with wormwood because of its penalty of not healing, the third one who plays with the wormwood because he likes plant-related skills, and the fourth who is the weirdo who likes the wormwood lore being lonely and wanting to make friends I think it would be fair for wormwood's skill tree to be divided into four parts on one side the casual skills of planting and creating creatures, and on the other side the combat skills of spawning vines and sleep spores could be things like Wormwood can plant moonshrom ( i dont think i need to explain) Wormwood can harvest giants plants without a hammer ( that would save a lot of time) Wormwood can harvest bee hives without getting attacked (in my head it makes sense) Compost wrap now heal mushroom planters in winter (would give u a good reason to create the compost wrap) Compost wrap now have a aoe effect in plants (same) Wormwood traps now can recover uses with fertilizers (i dont understand why wormwood has not received improvements in the equipment it alredy create) Berry and juicy craft counting as the same skill (why not?) Crafting carrat salamander and lightbug in the same skill (carrat is useless) One new skill that wormwood learn to craft a salamander mask made of fire nettles which gives you immunity to salamander fire but spoil very fast (fire nettles are useless and now wormwood need a fire protection to fight with salamander so why not?) One new skill that Wormwood learn to craft a lunar flute made of living log+barnacles+moonrock, this could be like a walking cane, with the same durability, and same or even lower damage when pressed with the right mouse button wormwood would sing with the flute making everyone on the screen take root at the cost of flower petals or forget me lots, a mixture of the pan flute with the brighshade armor (wormwood interaction with brighshade equipment are the best skills in the three but its really sad that we can just use this in the end game, so i think it would be cool to use this new skills in a previous way, and i dont think its fair that wormwood needs to take damage again to benefit from a exclusive skill, like the last thing wormwood wants is to take damage) One new skill when Wormwood is full bloom and hit someone with the lunar flute it gains a chance to spawn vines but not what the brightshade sword does, a much weaker inferior version of common vines( as I said before it would be more interesting to see these new skills before the end game even though it is a weaker version) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/149243-my-suggestion-for-skills-that-can-replace-the-useless-skills-of-the-wormwood-tree/ Share on other sites
Cassielu
I think you're overlooking the people who will play wormwood because they like his combat features and extreme environment resistance. He wasn't always a fragile farmer. NoodlemanNed
i play wormwood because he got a saladmander skin, so i take what his kit gives me and make the most out of it. i also think wormwoods tree is in a pretty good state balance wise with the except of the farmhand perks and the other 2 that branch off of it (fly trap and bee kind). I always wanted Wormwood to befriend salamanders, but I didn't expect that to actually happen. i think his abillity to create life fit perfectly with his lore of wanting to make friend Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/149243-my-suggestion-for-skills-that-can-replace-the-useless-skills-of-the-wormwood-tree/#findComment-1648830 Share on other sites
