fabin
i get that he is the damage character and all, but his skill tree is just... bland i like that in his rework they made him more than just damage, making him work faster and all. why not expand the "chores" path? dunno, make you choose between a faster work speed (mine, chop and dig) or one-shotting objects, with maybe a mastery of sorts at the end of it. or maybe expand the "training" path, with mighty overcharge being moved to the "mighty" path to make room for it right now you either spec fully into planar damage, or choose kinda mediocre skills that don't really help you out that much, with the first option being in effect only after rifts Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/149154-why-is-wolfgangs-skill-tree-so-boring/ Share on other sites
Antynomity
Because a huge chunk of it is a solution to a problem that should have never existed, that being planar damage. Paxtonnnn
I’m thinking they might be making some skill trees less impactful if they’re for characters who didn’t necessarily need tweaks anyway, which I’m not completely against. I don’t want to see already super strong characters become ridiculously stronger and leave underpowered characters behind like what happened with some reworks Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/149154-why-is-wolfgangs-skill-tree-so-boring/#findComment-1647484 Share on other sites
Yuuko
Hey, they worked hard to devise a system like planar damage so they could steal his power and sell it back to him, okay ? 13 minutes ago, Paxtonnnn said: I’m thinking they might be making some skill trees less impactful if they’re for characters who didn’t necessarily need tweaks anyway, which I’m not completely against. I don’t want to see already super strong characters become ridiculously stronger and leave underpowered characters behind like what happened with some reworks its not about the skill tree being strong or weak, its just that its not as fun as it could be. things like the last node on woodies skill tree for moose form could be a %33 increase to moose's damage like wolfgang's damage increase currently is, but seeing that 33% damage increase as a new move on third hit feels a lot different than just a 33% increased damage per hit even though it might essentially be the same dps wise. wormwoods lunar guardian II node is also another example of how a simple dps increase could be made more exciting. Even having some things like giving wolf gang attacks a chance equal to his chance at one shotting trees and boulders (15% chance ) to do a super attack that does double damage would be the same as 30% increase to his dps but would feel way different than just a flat 30% damage increase. its about making the new stuff feel good rather than just making a character stronger.
