A sort of Lunar “poison” that would work to cripple Shadows. 

Im imagining the period ticks would make nightmares constantly phase in and out as if theyre being hit normally. I think this would be useful to get nightmares off ur back in big fights where u might dip into insanity so u can focus on the issue at hand. 

Against bigger shadows like chess pieces, AFW and inkblights the periodic tick could make them flinch/stagger as if they were hit normally. A periodic mini stun as a form of crowd control. 

Would be nice if it did a big chunk of damage but over a long period of time so the crowd control aspect can be effective. 

Moonglass, reeds and moon moth wings would be the obvious recipe.
