Ohan
The first altar is found on the lunar island itself and the current crafts are somewhat of a nice introduction to celestial tech. It makes sense for this not to give immediate access to mindblowing crafts considering how relatively safe the island is and how easy it is to find. but the fact that the second and third altar just offer the same crafts ive always found soo disappointing. I really want to see the Celestial crafts be as interesting and worthwhile as Ancient Pseudoscience crafts. So the altar found with the Archives GPS could represent tier two of lunar crafts and the altar retrieved by defeating Crab King could be the final and highest tier of Celestial crafts since CK represents one of the hardest bosses in the game. These higher tiers of Celestial tech could finally make use of the many interesting lunar crafting ingredients that currently go largely unused like: Opals, charged moonglass, moongleams and even regular moonglass and moonrock that both have very few uses. Pet Rock
I've always wanted a lunar equivalent of the pan flute since sleeping is the whole gimmick of the lunacy monsters. More progression (item-wise) to the lunar quest line would be awesome. Would also make CrabKing more rewarding
skile
Perhaps each altar individually could provide tier 1 lunar crafts, but you would achieve tier 2 and 3 by assembling the other altar next to it, as we already do in order to summon lunar storms. I think it would be pretty cool, as it would expand on the mechanic already present in the game, and also make it so no matter the order you assemble the altars, you get linear progression from tier 1 to tier 2 to tier 3. To avoid forcing the player into beginning the moon storms again just to access tier 3 of celestial crafts, the enhanced lunar orb dropped by CC could also posses tier 3 of celestial crafting. This may also make Celestial Champion's loot more appealing, depending on what crafts would be added.

It would be a really cool way to introduce some much needed progression in celestial tech.
