For many people sea weeds are abandoned contents, they can't be reached easily by dock kits, and should be harvested by razor while they're sleeping if you're not Wormwood.
So why not let the new scythe harvest barnacles without draw their aggro at day? It would be a nice addition to your sailing preparation then, while spotlight the old-forgotten part of ocean content again.
