GhostEcho Posted May 24, 2023 Share Posted May 24, 2023 I just had the printing pod create a dupe that had a total strength of +16 (+8 supplying, +8 tidying). But I turned them down because the total benefit is only +640 kg of carrying capacity. Compared to the 1200 kg of carrying capacity you get from 2 levels of Supplying. If Strength is their whole thing, then it should at least make somewhat of an impact. The way it currently works, strength can just be ignored in favor of other skills, even for dupes that you want to carry stuff (athletics is much more usefull). So I propose to rebalance it a bit. Increase the gains from Strength, and reduce the gains from the skill. For example: Supplying Level 1 (Improved Carrying I) : + 500 kg in total, including from the +2 strength Supplying Level 2 (Improved Carrying I) : + 500 kg in total, including from the +2 strength Strength: + 100kg per level This would mean that ordinary dupes without any strength but with 2 skillpoints in Suppying could carry 1000kg Whilst dupes with some strength specialization (let's say +4 natural, and +4 from 2 skillpoints in Tyding) could carry 1800kg. The super-strength dupe would be able to carry 2800 kg when he has all 4 skills that provide strength, almost 3 dupes worth of carrying capacity. Whilst I still doubt this is a good pick, at least it excels at what is has specialized in. What do you think?
